Funny thing about tying those small baits.  I was getting a cramp in my right leg . . LOL

Now ya talkin'! #20's in that pattern was my go to, except tied on barbless spade hooks. They were a much finer gauge wire. In those days #16's were large hooks and 18's were average.

Those are the ones with no eye correct ? Just use a slip knot to change fly's ?  Watched a video of a guy from over the pond use these hooks . Very cool .

I was up at five and the buggers  had already  plowed my road or I would have go for a rip
