misfish Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 Got that alert about the big storm going through Bruce. First thing I thought was,my oldest is up at the Geen . Called him and he said it looks really nasty. Going to be taken cover. That is one massive coverage up there . https://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/south-bruce-peninsula/n0h/weather-radar/3391725
Terry Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 I think everyone should already know, my tv goes to the alert every 5 minutes and my phone every 20 minutes I think there should be a ok I got it button to shut it off once you clearly know about the alert
misfish Posted October 23, 2020 Author Report Posted October 23, 2020 4 minutes ago, Terry said: I think there should be a ok I got it button to shut it off once you clearly know about the alert Mine showed this. I clicked ok. Have not had one since. Trying to get a hold of him again, but the cell service up there sucks.
misfish Posted October 23, 2020 Author Report Posted October 23, 2020 Looks like it will be here around 6:15 or so. I can hear the tower wires singing inside the condo here.

Fisherman Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 Well natures carwash is definitely working. Sheets of rain, thunder and lightning like crazy, some pretty stiff winds too.
misfish Posted October 23, 2020 Author Report Posted October 23, 2020 (edited) Yup. went from no wind to howls and now rain and lightening and tunder. Huge flash as I was typing that lit up the condo here. Edited October 23, 2020 by misfish
ketchenany Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 Lord tunderen Jesus by, we are getting a light show but moving east fast! My poor fig trees tonight.
misfish Posted October 23, 2020 Author Report Posted October 23, 2020 Just watched for 5 minutes out side. Lightening almost every 3-5 sec. Never seen that before. It,s almost over me bye Terrys place.
ketchenany Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 Terry is getting ‘charged up’ for ice fishing. Hope is not holding onto his rod.
Terry Posted October 23, 2020 Report Posted October 23, 2020 It missed us for the most part. Could hear lots of thunder but not too close to me
ketchenany Posted October 24, 2020 Report Posted October 24, 2020 Good to hear Terry. Don’t want the big B guy all worried about you. He has enough problems smoking fish. Keep well it will be a wild ride tonight down here.
irishfield Posted October 24, 2020 Report Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) I watched Marg Simpson go by and told Leah maybe it was time to stop cutting wood and call it a day, I was swimming in my clothes anyhow with the humandex. Just made it back to the house when the tunnel cloud went behind the hangar, then Armageddon started ! Lost track of how many times the power went in and out and lost our internet service for hours. Intense winds, rain, 1"+ hail stones and lightning bolts. Thor's arms must be sore... Edited October 24, 2020 by irishfield 1
misfish Posted October 24, 2020 Author Report Posted October 24, 2020 I,ll bet that beauty color of the leaves is 50% now. I know here, the wind did a major job on them. Marg. LOL 1

irishfield Posted October 24, 2020 Report Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) It got nuts.. I have some great video.. but not sure, I'll see if it uploads. All that matters is everything is still standing today. Hangar is off plumb by about 2" over 16' so I'll push it with the hoe again... stormoct232020 026.MOVstormoct232020 027.MOV Edited October 24, 2020 by irishfield 2
