This may hopefully dismay rumours circulating re: fishing. I was recently told by a friend that the fishing seasons have been cancelled. He doesn't fish.

OFAH states.

"We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy in these unprecedented and challenging times. We also know that many of you have questions related to the impact this situation may have on your spring outdoors pursuits. With all of the rumours and speculation, the OFAH is pushing for answers from the government."

At this point, the MNRF has not made any decisions to restrict, delay or cancel provincial fishing and hunting seasons or restrict access to Crown land.

Tell your buddy the police are coming to round up all the extra TP. It will be an offense to have more than 3 rolls.

With kids out of school and people not working, if you have the means to bug out and self sustain, finding your own corner of crown land is the best form of isolating yourself.

Here’s the statement from the province:
https://news.ontario.ca/opo/en/2020/04/ontario-takes-further-action-to-stop-the-spread-of-covid-19.html

A direct quote from the above link:

“Prohibiting recreational camping on Crown land as of April 9, 2020. Under the emergency order, no individual can camp on Crown land, including the placement of tents or other camping structures, while the order is in effect. The government will continue to monitor the situation and re-evaluate if further actions are required.”

It's not the camping per se that the Gov. is banning, it's the getting to and from the crown land they don't want anyone to do. It's a form of a travel ban. If we don't get it we will be forced to follow what other countries are doing like Italy. Curfews.
