Now I've got this and like it. http://www.basspro.com/Offshore-Angler-Diamond-Edge-Hook-Sharpening-Handle/product/10206824/ I have various stones for knife blades but never liked them as much for hooks.

smitty55 Posted April 30, 2017 Report Posted April 30, 2017 Im guilty of never sharpening hooks lol. Wow, that I never would have figured that Rick. It is absolutely the easiest and best way to increase your hookup percentage, other things being equal. Even having my bullhead handline hooks sticky sharp makes a difference. Cheers

AKRISONER Posted May 1, 2017 Report Posted May 1, 2017 fisherpete recommended one of these bad boys Ive never looked back. two passes on the outside top, and sides of the hook and the thing becomes like a magnet...ouch no need to break the bank, these ones with the yellow handle work incredible. Can anyone confirm the brand, i cant remember!??
