Fishing 24/7 Posted April 24, 2016 Report Share Posted April 24, 2016 Took Friday off for Black Crappie. A phenomenal day ladding in the 100+ numbers Then my buddies call me up for saturday. ''safe'' ice up in the mountains you in ? sure. * clic* leave at 3:30 am after 4 houres sleep. After the bite cooled off. We switch lakes. Whities and lakers they say. Im in for sure. 1:30 houre after in the bush on the trikes. as im sleeping in my crappie bed . my buddies call. Ring a ding dong .. hello? Greasers tomorrow ? the lake sunk today. Our trout season opened yesterday up in 13 too, would've tried to sneak out on a small lake if I wasn't stuck at work, ice is damn persistent this year! Our trout season opened yesterday up in 13 too, would've tried to sneak out on a small lake if I wasn't stuck at work, ice is damn persistent this year! Yea those are Specks. The real Quebec Red is actually a landlocked Arctic Char that has evolved into its own subspecies over time. Salvelinus alpinus It's a common misnomer used on the Quebec side. The real one doesn't have those spots or square tail of the Speck. Nice fish and pics though regardless Kev. A great day fishing to be sure.
