Fortunately, I am heading out to St Clair tomorrow. Was wondering if anyone knew if the shad were congregating at the river mouths yet or are temps too warm still. We got on the water around 8:45 am, cast for 10 minutes or so at the mouth of the marina (Belle River) then set up to do some trolling. We ended up getting 4 before noon (3 were just under 40, and one was 44) but at noon conditions changed. Sun came out, the water laid down and the fish shut off. We stayed til 3, only having one more rip for our efforts but that fish didn't hook up. Was good to get out there though! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pigeontroller Posted September 29, 2015 Report Share Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) I'd say the fall migration to river mouths has started...This 51" girl was caught in 6 fow just outside the Thames mouth Sunday.
