Spiel Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Thanks Rick. Forgot about last nights dinner. Home made potato salad, fresh red and white taters with dill and egg and a bacon cheddar cheese burger with all the fixin's on a toasted Ciabatta bun. Well almost all the fixin's, can you believe I cooked a pound of bacon and forgot to put it on...... So guess I had a cheeseburger. On a chipped plate....LOL
mr blizzard Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 Your teasing us again Spiel That's a real hands on , dig in kinda dish Eveything on your plate says more please Haven't had deviled eggs for ages thanks for jarring my memory Enjoy
Spiel Posted August 12, 2015 Report Posted August 12, 2015 I couldn't even get entirely through two of these (fall off the bone) ribs. Served with the last of my potato salad and some garlic butter fried cabbage I'm full...... *burp* No visitors in the morning, you've been warned.
mr blizzard Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 At least till not after 8am for me, you've never met my wife lol, she loves leftovers, she can raid the fridge at midnight she walks lightly ,,,,please pm the potatoe salad
dave524 Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) Looks good Spiel, potato salad needs a healthy shot of mustard though, preferably Dijon. Edited August 13, 2015 by dave524
akaShag Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 MUSTARD in potato salad, SACRILEGE!!!!!!!! But hey, whatever floats yer boat, as they say.................. Doug
dave524 Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 MUSTARD in potato salad, SACRILEGE!!!!!!!! But hey, whatever floats yer boat, as they say.................. Doug Yeah and I put chopped up hard boiled eggs in it too
Gerritt Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) I love mustard powder in my potato salad.... You should try it!!!!! Edit..... Powder...... Not power..... Although power is good too! Edited August 14, 2015 by Gerritt
akaShag Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Potatoes, hard boiled eggs, lots of mayo, green onions, sweet peppers (yellow, orange, red) maybe even a small amount of dill, seasoned salt, fresh ground pepper, yes please. Mustard, no thanks. PICKLE, no thanks. Buddy some some deli potato salad and I took one taste, said this has pickles in it, buddy says no way, I say I can TASTE the stuff - sure enough, the last ingredient was sweet pickle relish. Hey it's potato salad, not a hot dog, right! But by all means, add your ketchup and chopped onions and whatever else tickles your fancy............... Doug
Spiel Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 MUSTARD in potato salad, SACRILEGE!!!!!!!! Doug Exactly, but what do I know, I had some finely chopped dill pickle in mine. It was okay, not my usual recipe like Mom used to make which very much resembles this.... "Potatoes, hard boiled eggs, lots of mayo, green onions, sweet peppers (yellow, orange, red) maybe even a small amount of dill, seasoned salt, fresh ground pepper, yes please."
misfish Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 And don't forget to mash the taters. You also need add some peas and carrots .
mr blizzard Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Brian did my mom used to cook for u too lol, butter peas and carrots in the centre of the mashed , then carefully lift the edges of the mashed spuds up and over the peas and such, mmmmmmmmmm, we used to call it the volcano, the only thing missing was bacon lol
Gerritt Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Wife is at her parents tonight again... So I thought steak night! 2.0! Fried mushrooms, zucchini, Buffalo pasta and of course STEAK!!! I love this as Lyndsey is not much of a steak person..... ://s129.photobucket.com/user/gerritt_2006/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_16.jpg.html] [/url] The Buffalo riggatoni was awesome! The top sirloin was good as well..... A touch over cooked (medium) but was delicious! Charcoal and mesquite... Can't go wrong there!add in the Pan fried garlic mushrooms and well... I'm stuffed! As Spiel would say.... *burp!*
mr blizzard Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 Gerritt , that's looks like a mighty fine dinner, quick question, never heard of Buffalo rigatoni, what goes into the sauce, looks great
manitoubass2 Posted August 14, 2015 Author Report Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) Im guessing buffalo cheese or buffalo hot sauce??? Edited August 14, 2015 by manitoubass2
