chris.brock Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 The black flies are starting to make an appearance up in Haliburton. water was 45.5 to 52 degrees by the time I had found warmer water and figured out the walleye, the wind was blowing up and I didn't have long all fish were caught on suspending twitch baits, I had minnows and worms but they weren't necessary my walleyes and the slot restrictions didn't jive so I kept 2 of these how did everybody else do?
Locnar Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) No luck with the wallys for me as I was stuck on shore. But I did land this guy Edited May 11, 2014 by Locnar
jimmer Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Got blown all over the lake, but managed few smaller ones. My buddy caught one about 17-18".

BillM Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Wind helped me find the crappies, absolutely loaded a small bay with 62 degree water. It was a competition between me and the old man who could catch more Haven't tried for eyes yet, but there's no rush with thee water temps.
