bayofquintecharters Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Hey Guys, As you guys may or may not know here in Canada we are now able to view all Canadian charts (even with the sonar charts layer) on line for free at http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp. The depth units are displayed in meters though. I was talking with Navionics today and it is an easy change for them to make the units displayed as feet. I told them I would take a few polls to get an idea of what the general fishing public wanted. Please take the 5 seconds to leave your opinion on which units you prefer when looking at charts. Thank you. Scott Edited March 29, 2014 by bayofquintecharters
dave524 Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Isn't fathoms correct for nautical charts?
bayofquintecharters Posted March 29, 2014 Author Report Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Isn't fathoms correct for nautical charts? I will add fathoms as an option. I haven't had a lot feedback requesting fathoms which is why I didn't provide it as an option. My apologizes. Scott Edited March 29, 2014 by bayofquintecharters
Christopheraaron Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Has got to be feet, but we should be able to choose which we want if it's that easy for them to do.
Crazy Ivan Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 By the way, thanks for the link. It's nice to be able to study lakes here at home before heading out. Maybe they could make all depth units available to choose. Meters/feet/fathoms.
Maverick Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Feet and I did not know about this. Thanks!
mattaw Posted March 29, 2014 Report Posted March 29, 2014 Feet for sure, when I first saw it, was a pain to convert everything.
