  1. Did you put stabil or another ethanol treatment in the gas when you stored it? If not, don't run that gas... pump it out asap before you damage your motor.
  2. You can never have too much thrust, also i pilot is worth its weight in gold.
  3. I own one, love it. I wish I had the 12' model though. With the US dollar where it is the prices have been skyrocketing here. I was in the market for a new one, but it's a bit crazy right now. I got mine from my local marina who is a Minn Kota dealer. My 0.02, if you get some, get a pair, the ability for your boat not to rotate with the wind is worth its weight in gold if you are serious about them.
  4. I use the Shimano drag grease. It is a bit pricier but never had an issue, and a container lasts a long time..
  5. This is not the best thing for the fish, as others have said, put it back in the water, or if it's going to die, take it home to the table. This article sums it up nicely: http://drowningworms.com/can-you-stop-fish-bleeding-from-the-gills-with-coke-sprite/
  6. I'm sitting at Baptiste right now reading this... I spend way to much time here. Some good advice has been given here. There aren't so many Musky any more, LOTS of pike though..... Elephant is jammed with pike and bass as well.
  7. Bass is closed for another week for me. I'll be smacking pike for one more week....
  8. Those are some monsters! Nice...
  9. Those are fighting words! Nice fish. It has been a long long time but I remember that feeling. OOS happens, as you said, you can't control what bites. Just get it into the water and released safely asap. Keep at it, you'll get your fish!
  10. Picked up 8 locally. I feel like I stole them. Great buy, thanks for the heads up guys!
  11. Interesting, just saw stony, it's about half a foot down, but not as bad as expected.. Hopefully we'll get a bunch of rain next week and some water will come.
  12. Spring is always fun, this spring not so much, definately worried what we'll see once ice comes out up north. Time to do a rain dance eh Sinker?
  13. This is fun. I wonder how many boats are going to be wrecked or have motors ruined this year. Stony lake should be a real treat. What does this all mean for our lakes further north (like Paudash). It seems like a no win game, you try to raise levels by lowering them other places, we need rain.
  14. I like it. It's really loud though, and wind knots from time to time. There are great braids on the market that I like more though. Sunline makes great line, as does Seaguar. Smackdown is expensive, but a hell of a braid
  15. I find them to be a huge pain. They do get in the way when I fish, but are nice if you want to stay shady and dry. How high is your top and how big is your boat? I took mine off my first boat after about 2 trips out, couldn't stand it.
  16. It's a fine rule. It forces you to get into the community and make yourself known. It cuts down on people coming in and posting mass ads while not adding much value here and deters scams and the like. This is a great community, jump in and I'm sure you'll get and give some great value!
  17. It was a nice show, good to meet a fair number of people from here! Bruce, it was good to have a table next to you and your son. I didn't leave with a ton, but definately happy with what I bought and sold. The only issue with the show is it has me ready to go and drooling for soft water... Now we just need to fast forward time a bit!
  18. It could be weedy, it could not be. As others have said, to early to tell. Relax and wait, nothing we can do about it.
  19. I stocked up as much as possible, but I'm sure there are good alternatives out there. Shame to see such a great company gone though
  20. Pete, I would just try calling Navionics USA and asking, they should be able to tell you what the standard protocol is, and maybe you can ask for a favor if it's outside of it. You never know if you don't ask! 21. The 110 is my favorite jerkbait on the market by far. They just flat out produce, nothing against the others mentioned, they produce as well, but there's something special to me about the 110s. Just my 0.02
  22. We have a don't ask don't tell deal. Works out well otherwise I would be in some serious trouble
  23. Great to hear. So glad we had a positive outcome. Details would be good How was it found?
