I've been sitting out on the back deck watching this system develope Brian and it sure looks like it could get interesting.

I spose we could all use some much needed rain, but we sure don't need the storms that may come with it.

It should be gone by then. They say the temps are dropping tonight, so should the threat of tornados.

Sounds like I may be in for a very intersting trip coming up there tomorrow. :w00t:

We have had a lot of high winds today. Along with 4 power surges. I think this is the hottest day so far in the plant. A constant 42 since 9am this morning. bring on the relief.

That was an intense drive home from work, even though it was only 15 minutes. Sun skies, turned black in minutes. Heavy rains, and wild winds. Temp at departure of 37 deg. 15 minutes later,25..Getting dark again,it not over yet.

Finally got to turn the air off.

Just packing up to head up to Algonquin for the weekend. maybe we will stop in barrie or gravenhurst for it to blow over before continuing. Anyone up Barrie - Huntsville?

a pal just told me that Barrie just got a touchdown as well

Is it true they sound like a train???????? Cause I heard a steady noise, that was wierd, but could see anything for the heavy rain.

Just like that, the winds die,the rain stops and the suns trying to come out. Mother nature is so cruel, but have great respect for her.

Nothing confirmed here as of yet Randy, and I got rock 95 on.

Gravenhurst may have had one.

That was intense. I remember back in 1985 when tornado came through and crushed us here in Barrie. It was darker at that time.

Today during the worse part of the storm that just past, I happened to be driving through allendale (that is where the 85 tornado hit). Not cool. Managed to get home and in the basement. Would not be surprised if one or two twisters touched down.

Temp went from 35 to 23 in about 15 minutes.

I bet the waterspouts on Kemp were crazy

We will be two or 3 hours likely til we hit barrie so hopefully things clear up by then.

Yer good to go now Jed. Warnings lifted. Have a safe and great trip.

Storm is upon us here in Lanark County. Hoping to not have to pick the gravel out of the ditch again after another driveway washout. Too much rain this year... but the grass has never been greener.

We are too, where you camping?

I hear ya about the wild ride home Bri!

I got a call from my wife saying she was heading to the neighbours storm cellar with my 10 month old boy...

So I left work immediately. Driving up the 400, gettin of at horseshoe, and I hear they just sited a funel cloud at 27 and horseshoe... (This was after 3pm) My wife just drove through there 20 minutes earlier with the boy...

Sounds like we both nearly got to see our first funnel cloud!!!
