fishindevil Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 the ice wont be long my haliburton contact says some guys will be out fishing this weekend on the smaller lakes,he works for the county so they hit all the backroads and do all the checking on the back lakes!!!!
NAW Posted December 11, 2012 Author Report Posted December 11, 2012 Both Orr Lake, and Little Lake has small open patches. Looking at the weather network for Barrie. Suposed to be around 0ish during the day all week. -3ish at night. Likely no ice fishing this weekend in the south. But if this keep up, I might be eating perch on X-mass eve!

wormdunker Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 I just returned from Fort McMurray. 2' of snow, 3' of frost in the ground, -20 during the day, -32 at night. Right in Fort Mac guys are ice fishing & running on the ice with 4x4 trucks!!
