Rod Caster Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Trails open tomorrow in North Bay. Funny stuff on the second video. Sounds like a LOOONG walk hahaha.
davey buoy Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 I can't believe in the first video the guy coming couldn't see the stopped guy?Wow. It wasn't like they were on a bend or blind spot.
Lip-ripper Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 he was really moving, the first sled was white (which probably didn't help), and it looks like the white sled moved into his path at the last minute. He did seem to slow down a bit too. Freak accident but I think speed was the main culprit.
NAW Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Dam.. That was dumb. There had to have been some broken bones there.
Rizzo Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 man that was stupid. The one dummy moves right in the way of a guy who's whipping past only a few feet away???Now I know why I don't own a snowmobile.
DRIFTER_016 Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 That accident was 100% the fault of the guy ripping past the guys that were stopped/moving slowly. He was going way to fast for riding on a trail and when you approach others slow the heck down. You wanna run balls to the wall do it out on the lake not on a trail. The guy was probably drunk too.
Sinker Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I thought it was the other guys fault. He clearly moved into the path of the oncoming sled. What I wonder is, were they buddies together in a group? You think the guy that was going fast, was with the other 3 guys? How bad would it suck to kill one of your friends? Stupid move. The guy didn't even look before moving. That had to hurt. S.
mercman Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Be careful off trail too guys.A buddy of mine lost his head in 2010 because he left the trail, and met a chain that some property owner hung accross the access to his field.Didnt sever it completely, but enough to kill him instantly.
Grimace Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 As for the video, not enough evidence. If the passing sled was in the same party and they were just watching as they were taking turns bombing by, then the guy who moves in front is totally at fault as his buddy would have to assume his friends who were watching him buzz by would not jolt out in front of him. If they are a different party from the guy bombing down the trail then they are both at fault. The guy was going too fast and close to judge their intentions before a reasonable reaction time. The idiot that pulls out in front is at fault in both scenarios.

I'll give 50% of the fault to the idiot who doesn't look where he's going and pulls infront of a speeding snowmobile. Let's not even mention the fact that his snowmobile was WHITE!
