The mighty Blue Catfish is a resident of our waters here The local record is 71 lbs while the boat record is still at 64 Lb's.

Here's a rarity for you.

An Inconnu (found in only 5 drainages in the world).

I caught some of these.... I had no clue what they were .. but I ate it anyway....not bad at all..

I am guessing this is one of the 8 billion species of chub... It's the only thing we caught in Liberty Lake all year. We each caught two... What a disappointment. It's the only place I've caught them, too. Sorry about the unfocused pics - the rain was constant, tons of water in the canoe, and I didn't want to ruin my camera so these were taken rather hastily.

ok i need to know what the heck this thing is ....i caught one of them in Goderich years ago ...at the time i thought i would investigate it ....but never got around to it ...

 

im glad someone started a fun thread that actually has something to do with fishing ...

LOL It's a mudpuppy. They steal my minnows when I'm icefishing.
