Its funny there are no replies to this thread!!! There were more people out there than I've seen in over 20 years fishing out there!!!!! What a joke!!

I came home with 3 eyes and 4 crappies. Some did well, others did not so well. Tonight was a little slower, just 3 big slabs.

My buddy and I are heading up there in the morning to give it a try.

Its our first time on the lake, so any location pointers would be much appreciated.

Also, where is the closest bait shop?

There is a bait shop If you drive through port Perry across the causeway on the right hand side! sold by the dozen ! We fished out of goreskis just walk out to the zoo of people find the weed edges

I found the fishing awesome, fished from 7-9:30 thursday. Iced a few slab crappie and 8 walleye. Kept the crappie a few walleye for the pan and the rest were released.

nicely done, wiser! :clapping: Having only been to scugog once through the ice (this past thursday), pics like this are preventing me from writing it off.

We did well this past weekend...got our limit of walley on Friday and Sunday (ate the ones from Friday on Sat night)....also had a great time hauling in slab crappies after dark..from 5:00 till about 9:00 pm both nights...they are abundant and bigger than last year....the trick was to find weeds and suspend maggots over 11 feet of water down 5 feet using the smallest "russian jig/pimple" you can get your hands on..."glow light-pink"

Atv's and snowmobiles are travelling the western arm of Scugog at least up to Goreskies. Beyond that could be dangerous in spots. Check first.
