  12. You need to call authorized mechanic for strike master on the web site and they will order you a starter assembly for $65 taxes in. one located in Mississauga near lake shore IN the mean time go to www.strikemaster.com and watch the video on how to properly start the auger. My buddy yanked on it a little tooooo hard and it was toast. Its just a small plastic piece (red) that brakes, but you need to whole assembly. If you know any one in the states you can order directly from SOLO USA and it will cost $24.50 hope this helps
  13. just thought I would post this for any new owners of the Strikemaster Solo

  16. Valens will take a few years to bounce back, but there is a lake not too far from Valens where I catch crappie in the 12'' to 14'' limit regularly. and YES it is a conservation area P.
  17. Just thought that I would ad to this quote by saying that North America is the #1 buyer of the motors that Japan is taking off the roads. They only allow about 40,000 kms per engine. By the way, it strikes me that not so long ago Japan introduced legislation requiring cars to be OFF the road after a period of time (think it was 3 years) - a planned obsolescence - and built in engine for the marketplace - I am pretty sure it was introduced as part of a emissions control measure ...not sure this is the answer but it is important to understand that the producers are only one side of the equation ... the consumers (and the parameters around their consumption) are at least as important in it. Just my 2 cents
  18. I would just like to say that Ford is the number 1 North American made vehicle as far as parts manufactured. Also I wanted to say that Toyota is #2. So I will kindly say that your 3 GM vehicles should be replaced with something other than imported vehicles. Buy North American made
  19. I bought a Clam guide last year and there are three seams that have torn, and it was only bought last season. I have a buddy that had a frame from an old CLam, and since he does boat covers he decided to make a custom cover for the Clam. About 6 years have passed and his cover is showing no sign of stitching problem. Goes to show you get what you pay for. it probably would cover about $500 to $800 for him to make a cover. So when you buy any of those huts made in China. There is a reason the manufacturers sell replacement covers. I hope to have him make me a custom cover when this is shot. just my 2 cents PS his shop is in Brampton
