Lake Wahnapitae

 

Kids have a blast with the perch ,we catch the odd jumbo perch but average is 9-12inches

This year one 13 and 15 inch were caught

Those are Huuuuuuuuge Perch, man!

I know that the Wanahpitae river becomes the Veuve river as it winds it's way towards Verner, and eventually to the mouth of Cache Bay, my old home town.

 

There used to be some spots on that river that produced some big Pickerel (10-12+lbs) back in the day.

NOw come on Lake erie is so polluted and my lake is Spring fed with bare minimum boat travel
