lew Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Thanks for the request Holdfast, that video is one of the best there is for paying respect to those who fought & died for the rest of us. Should be required viewing for every school in Canada.

irishfield Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Glad Doug wasn't doin nothing today and got it right up for you Rob. I would have but work got in the way... Thanks to all our soldiers, past, present and future.
douG Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Here is the story behind this most moving music video.
Terry Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 yes, I think it is a very powerful video/song and if it doesn't make you think about the vets and if it doesn't move you go to the doctor right now..cause your heart isn't working right
DebS Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Thanks to Doug for posting that. I've never seen this & I had tears in my eyes & a lump in my throat the whole time. God bless all our soldiers, past & present - hope they know how much they mean to us... DebS
douG Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 (edited) Deb, I've watched this 30 times over the last couple of years, since Irishfield first showed us this. I still get smacked each time. The verse that hits me most is this one: God forgive me for wanting to strike him. Give me strength so as not to be like him... My heart pounds in my breast, fingers pressed to my lips, My throat wants to bawl out, my tongue barely resists. But two minutes I will bide. It's a pittance of time. Then I'll slap him silly. motv8tr Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Thanks Wayne, that's the only way I'll get to see it. I'll set it up to download when I go to bed. Maureen
DebS Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 You said it, Doug. And when you're done with him, I'll get my licks in too! The saddest part of all is that there are some people just like him.....
Rattletrap2 Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 The jerk in the store reminds me a ot of Dalton McSquinty! Very nice tribute to the Vets! May we never forget.
brickNblock Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 ThankYou for that................and thankyou DouG and Irishfield for for making it available for download too.
