When my group comes up from Ohio they bring enough food to feed 30 guys for a week.

I ended up with a St Croix baitcast rod. Somebody broke my spinning rod and replaced it with a baitcaster. It is a med light fast 6'6 1 pc premier. They tossed the tags so it is unreturnable. I figure I may as well make use of it. In the $80.00 range what reel could I put on this. I fish walleyes generally and some speckleds and lakers, and perch. Ideas?

Adding comments has been disabled on this video. I wonder why Last week I was out and there was this boat full of i think kids doing donuts. Had to have been at least a 50 hp on the boat. Around and around, then ahead then crank it. I was just waiting for it to flip. This speed on the water makes me wonder hwy there is a 50 kph limit on snowmobile trails. Some things just don't add up

I went there with the wife and another couple 30 odd years ago. In a long weekend we caught probably a hundred or so walleyes each. Never fished before 10 am or after 6 pm and it was 80 degrees all weekend. Its still the same.

How bout this view. The kids bought the place looking towards the neighbor and figuring that their property ended just before his place. they were happy with that much land and bought the place. Now they find that their land may go past where they thought. Why get all upset about it. Find out the real deal, possibly get some compensation from the guy, have the taxes adjusted and be happy with their pretty little farm. Possibly having the neighbor under the gun and giving him an out would make him be a bit nicer too. I don't know the details but this is just a thought on it.

My hunting group bought a piece of land a few years ago and had the property surveyed. It showed that a neighbor had a building on our property. We told him he had to move it or it would be ours. He moved it. I think we could have just put up no trespassing signs and it would have been ours. If you bought the property, whats on it is yours, isn't it? I like to keep it simple

does that include the backing up, or just when its in the water

By the minute? Holy crap...I couldn't believe the price in North Bay last week. $13.13 to launch a boat. I complain because our municipal marina is $6.00, and it has developed a pothole this year. The one on the reserve is $5.00 And generally nobody is there...I love the north. We also have signs for a designated "tie down area"..if somebody is in the way, you can just point at the sign

The billion dollars are Canadian tax dollars....Not Toronto tax dollars. If you want fishing, stock some lakes in the north...no need to build a new lake when we have plenty already

Most of the danger is caused by boat wakes. The faster the boat the worse the wake. I think there should first be a speed limit on the water. Lets say 25 mph. There is no need of these ciggarette boats or bass boats running around public waters at 85 mph. Thats just rediculous. Bass boats racing for the best spot to fish? Come on...if they had a 5 mph speed limit in the tournaments then it would be a level playing field, cost of gear would be way cheaper, and it would be about the fishing again instead of which guy has the biggest......... We don't need personal watercraft running around at 60 mph either. They just run into other people...outlaw them first. Wakeboats?...come on Why do I have to be put into danger every time I go on the water just so all the fools that want to go fast can play. It has nothing to do with mandatory wearing of a lifejacket.

So just how much do you think it costs to make a law. How many people do you see still driving while talking on a cel phone...how many kids without helmets on bikes, how many people smoking with kids in the car. Its just another politician wanting a law named after him. I just believe the money would be better spent on education rather than making laws. Have a proper boaters course. Educate people in the safety aspect of wearing life jackets. Those 2 canoeists still wouldn't have had safety gear in the boat no matter haw many laws you make. I hear so many people complaining that they have to have a flashlight in the boat in the daytime. Well guess what...if you break down, you will likely be out there broke till after dark. Maybe put that in a course instead of just grabbing a hundred bucks off somebody that still doesn't understand why.

We already have to have them in the boat, so no extra profit except for you wear them out faster. Not a big deal to do it....a very big deal that we are FORCED to do it.

See, they were busy making it illegal to smoke in a car with somebody under 18 present instead. I like the part where an 18yo was busted for smoking with a 16yo present and while the cop was writing the ticket the 16yo lit up and it was perfectly legal. But lets spend a few mil making it law that you have to wear a life jacket when the smarter people already do. Let the dumb ones die...its better for the human race in the long run.
