  1. But we had an old train engine at the park that kids played on for years. It is now fenced off so nobody gets hurt on it. I'm just saying, think about the laws you make first. Possibly drinking water should be regulated. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/cbc/100525/canada/consumer_con_bottled_bacteria_1
  2. Of course the Sault council is that stupid. They are funding a trade trip to Italy when half the town is Italian and already knows and deals with all the other businesses in Italy and Europe is going bankrupt anyway so why deal with them.
  3. I'm blaming the city for constructing a hazzard for one thing. I'm also saying that the safety laws don't make any sense. Why spend all that money on a helmet law if it isn't going to be enforced. Why make a law stopping one hazzard and the next day create another. How bout we license BBQ's...a one week course, or just do it online and swear you did it all on your own. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/cbc/100526/canada/canada_toronto_bbq_explodes_lid984
  4. Bleeding hearts wanting to save us from ourselves. You can't regulate stupid. We need a few more safety laws. I like the one where kids under 16 must wear a helmet while riding a bicycle. How many kids do you see without them. Do you realize what it costs to make a law? Millions of tax dollars. And millions of private dollars to update law books. To just not bother enforcing it...... Our city just built a skateboard park. Its made of concrete steps and steel pipe rails for kids to do dumb tricks on. Know why they made it...cause the kids whined till they got it. Wanna know the regulations for helmets and proper gear in that park? NONE...the city said it would always be open and if they made a helmet rule they would have to enforce it so they decided they they would just put up a sign recomending it. Last week my nephew was there and fell and smashed his elbow. 5 hours of surgery to pick the bone fragments out and at 15 years old he will never straighten his arm again. 2 days later his friend ends up with a concussion at the same park. At least they had somebody to talk with in the hospital. And you want to make a law ordering me to wear a life jacket? Hands up...who wants to pay for this new law
  5. Doesn't matter...there's no fish in that lake anyway
  6. I need a new walleye lake...that one is done

  7. I have a Tundra...I had a Ford....First guy that gives me a Ford can Have the Tundra. Dodge and GM cost too many tax dollars to even be considered.
  8. Its just too many people for me. I was in North Bay for the weekend. I wanted to fish nippising with my daughter for a bit. Turns out we didn't have a lot of time but we had a good visit. We went out in front of the sewer outlet friday night and joined the 30 or so other boats. No fish but i think its a bit early in the season...thats my excuse anyway. After waiting in the lineup we got out and one guy said he caught one. Next day we heard Nosbonsing was a good choice so we decided to go there. While driving over I told my daughter that when her and her brother settled somewhere that possibly her mother and I would move close to them to keep us all together..Maybe North Bay area or whatever. Well, we gets into the lineup to launch and head out onto the lake. There was a good wind blowing so it was pretty rough. We tours around and fish a bit. There are boats running around everywhere. Zing, zing, zing, zing. Then a couple parties start at cottages. Loud music and lots of people trying to be heard talking louder. I'm thinking...wow..If I lived or had a cottage across the lake from that...I looks at my daughter and says...Sarah...remember what I said about moving...skip it...I'm couldn't take this...she kinda smiled and agreed. Next day we are walking along the North Bay waterfront in the morning. About 30 or 40 boats out near the sewage outfall again. We are walking along watching them...all of a sudden they are all bunched together...I says...hey, Sarah...look...somebody musta caught one. And the drivers there are the same as the boaters you guys are talking about. Our city council keeps trying to entice people to come live here...I feel like going to the next meeting and slapping all of them. I'm heading out fishing at 4 this afternoon...I will be snacking on walleyes tonight. Oh yeah...if you're in a canoe and somebody makes a wake...point into it and ride it out...don't just sit and cross your fingers
  9. So its a good spot?
  10. So really, the bear just got even...only he did it first. Now all the people are gonna gang up on it.
  11. will they still be out front of North Bay...this is the weekend I'm finally gonna get to fish there
  12. Just don't forget to tie the front rope...if you forget it can get stuck under a tire when you drive away. DAMKIKT
  13. I'm going to North bay on the long weekend to take my daughter fishing...sure hope they are out front of town...otherwise i have no idea where to go
  14. Where do you launch in that neck of the woods?
  15. The government has tried just about every way there is to deal with natives except treating them like people. They cut a deal, now live up to it...it would be cheaper for all of us in the long run.
  16. Actually Powder Post beetles will infest dry wood. We don't get them up here but southern ontario can. If you see wood that looks like it has been hit with a shotgun blast and there are little piles of flour under it...you have troubles.
  17. In my opinion what you have is not "firewood" it's "lumber" Unless the park has a restriction that you buy anything you burn from them then there should be no problem with any bug issue. I transport kiln dried wood across the border all the time and there are no restrictions. they are concerned with firewood that has bark on it.
  18. Move north...no emissions testing here
  19. There is one about 8 miles or so up the road on the left for eyes...decent enough spot to launch a 14' on a trailer. There is also a splake pond they will show you. There are nice big eyes in the lake the cabins are on but they will tell you there aren't any fish in the lake because they don't want guests fishing their private stock
  20. We had 4 in town here today. st Christophers elementary school playground is a good spot
  21. For running in cold weather its nice to wear a full face snowmobile helmet. Cutting the grass,,,thats funny
  22. But then you are required to carry the paperwork on it...and anybody stealing it is taking the numbers off
  23. I have one left for sale.
  24. I made these. should cover it.
  25. OK, why a battery powered lawnmower? Is it to have an electric without the cord?
