  1. Happy to assist you where needed Mike and equally happy I was able to pull it off in time for your trip west. And yes, Alps guides.
  2. I've spent about 3 hours on this over the last few days while trying to keep up with other work..... It was a special request from a good customer and while I hate doing it and I tried to talk him out of it he was persistent. So given that I've persisted in wrapping a four sided chevron in three colours, metallic black, metallic silver and garnet. The guides will incorporate the same colour scheme. Anyhow I've still much thread packing to do on it then finish it off with hook keeper wrap and far end wrap but here's where I'm at......
  3. Another outstanding report Mike. Great to see the 4 of you had a great trip.
  4. Sitting a few feet away from the puter desk winding guides and winding guides....... Found this a little earlier and have it playing on the primary monitor (full screen) while I...., well you know. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AYFYWKgkyZM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  5. All smiles and happy here Joey and Paul. Glad to see you had a great fall week on the West Arm.
  6. Maybe I should go outside and wait and see if I can catch 10 minutes of sun.
  7. Good morning Lew, nice shot. No sign of sunshine here this morning, yet.
  8. "Ultimate rod/reel combo" No such thing!
  9. A safe and happy family filled holiday to all our members.! Bon appetite!
  10. If all members new and old were completely familiar with the forums rules we wouldn't be discussing this now.
  11. Now that's just not right given I'm having spaghetti, again! As for the snow, beautiful but I can wait another few months.

  13. They're not meant to come off Dave, once expired slide them together and tuck them in a pocket for proper disposal.
  14. Alright, enough of the snottiness, everyone here was new at one time. Not everyone introduced themselves before jumping in, myself included (way back when). It's not a prerequisite but it does help, as for the negative comments I've read on various posts today, I'd expect or at least hope for better from the members here.
  15. Definitely, absolutely, always go wingless shot Dave or float fishing.
  16. Glad you're enjoying your new rod Chris. The only picture I have is of the handle and I posted somewhere previously but here it is again.
  17. Awesome! I'm beginning to think I wasted good money on riggers.
  18. I guess I may be the only other person who gets it.
  19. Stunning photos Mike. Thanks for dropping in this morning, it was great to see you again and get some of the details and efforts required to get all these wonderful pictures.
  20. Wow, if I had to throw a number out there for the number of guys I've fished with and socialized with through this forum it would be well over a hundred. I won't even try to list them all as my memory is not what it once was and I'd be upset if I forgot to mention even one. I will state however that everyone of them I'd be happy to spend time with again.
  21. There's many methods used and names for them, for anglers with less intelligence than the fish they seek.
  22. Way before my day, but I understand it all too well. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/R_raXzIRgsA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  23. It's hard to read through all the misinformation here I don't even know what to say other than, nice big Chinook to the OP, well done.
  24. Wow! What more can I say? Good stuff Ron and a great testament to the effectiveness of Mr. Parkers lures.
