  1. I'm still praying for the complete irradication of Pacific Salmon from our waterways.....
  2. Yep, a whole lot of wood thanks to you Sir. I'll be looking to get it stabilized at some point before using. I can show you John if you're ever in the neighbourhood.
  3. I'm sure I can swing it and because I'm without a vehicle I'll get the lovely Miss Julie to accompany me.
  4. Thanks everyone. Just got the finish end wraps on. While it appears bright now, it'll be finished without colour preserver which will have the garnet thread become quite dark, sort of like black cherry.
  5. Sounds like a good idea, we're way overdue.
  6. Thanks bud, it'll be finished without CP which will make it a lot less dramatic than the picture.
  7. Totally speechless Rob. What a great report, distance travelled, weather traversed to spend time fishing with Ben. You were obviously in good hands! The proof is in the pictures with some impressive fish hauled over the gunnels.
  8. No, but you do know him Bill.
  9. I said fishing related Rob. But I do have an appt. for a new lens prescription as my current one is way out dated.....
  10. Not only beauty but of solid size too. Nicely done, congrats to you!
  11. I'd do it for you Craig, lets talk money.
  12. Happy to assist you where needed Mike and equally happy I was able to pull it off in time for your trip west. And yes, Alps guides.
  13. I've spent about 3 hours on this over the last few days while trying to keep up with other work..... It was a special request from a good customer and while I hate doing it and I tried to talk him out of it he was persistent. So given that I've persisted in wrapping a four sided chevron in three colours, metallic black, metallic silver and garnet. The guides will incorporate the same colour scheme. Anyhow I've still much thread packing to do on it then finish it off with hook keeper wrap and far end wrap but here's where I'm at......
  14. Another outstanding report Mike. Great to see the 4 of you had a great trip.
  15. Sitting a few feet away from the puter desk winding guides and winding guides....... Found this a little earlier and have it playing on the primary monitor (full screen) while I...., well you know. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AYFYWKgkyZM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  16. All smiles and happy here Joey and Paul. Glad to see you had a great fall week on the West Arm.
  17. Maybe I should go outside and wait and see if I can catch 10 minutes of sun.
  18. Good morning Lew, nice shot. No sign of sunshine here this morning, yet.
  19. "Ultimate rod/reel combo" No such thing!
  20. A safe and happy family filled holiday to all our members.! Bon appetite!
  21. If all members new and old were completely familiar with the forums rules we wouldn't be discussing this now.
  22. Now that's just not right given I'm having spaghetti, again! As for the snow, beautiful but I can wait another few months.

  24. They're not meant to come off Dave, once expired slide them together and tuck them in a pocket for proper disposal.
  25. Alright, enough of the snottiness, everyone here was new at one time. Not everyone introduced themselves before jumping in, myself included (way back when). It's not a prerequisite but it does help, as for the negative comments I've read on various posts today, I'd expect or at least hope for better from the members here.
