....Well I have not been around much but what has been keeping me busy is fishing related....
I'm in various stages of work on a dozen rods with another six more to pick up! Got to get my butt in gear and finish these so I can find time to get out fishing.
....Hey now that's pretty cool Dan, well done. You know that most here have told you that you have a great eye for photography and lucky for us here we often get to see it before anyone else. You deserve the accolades no doubt about it.
....I have friends that fished it a number of times in the 70's and 80's Marty. Always had a great time and always caught lots of fish. Mostly walleye in the tasty eating size.
....*pores over members list for looking for someone named DT10Sam* Alright I concede, seems he's been an outstanding member and huge contributor to OFC past and present. NIce fish Sam.
....Nice to see you had a great weekend Lew. My kids have been to Ottawa but not I. It would seem to be one of those things I need to put on my "to do" list.
....The problems with these types of threads (potential lawsuits aside) is that many become defensive and others offensive. That makes it all a moot point. No winners no losers just a lot of hearsay and argumentive thoughts pro and con. What's been done has been settled in the courts many years ago. Time to move on.
....I've perused all of the reports (I think?) and I'm glad to see things went well and everyone had a good time. I feel bad sleeping the day away in my warm bed, but hey nightshifts will do that to you.
....Actually I've noticed an increasing number of anglers hooking big carp in the Cook Bay area over the last few years. I've been told by guys with underwater cameras that they see large schools of them swimming around. I even know a few guys (myself included) who've hooked up with them on light perch tackle and have had a tough time getting them in. Others frequently lose them and are quick to assume that it had to be a pike or a trout or whitey or whatever but me thinks a lot of big carp are being lost do to inefficient tackle.
