  1. ....If it wasn't for gifts "To me, from me" I'd get nothing. I'm a very bad boy.
  2. ....I've fished with you Wayne, what more could you possibly want....lol
  3. ....Right back at you Wally. Now when you going to make good on all those Silver Bullets you owe me.
  4. .....Oh my, this is an easy one. I'd like to fish with everyone here at least once before I die. I've already had the pleasure of numerous trips shared with many good folk from this board and can't think of one I wouldn't fish with again. Mind you I have not shared a boat with many whom I've spent weekends with so I guess I'll need to live to the ripe old age of 372 to fit everyone in. Well a least I have a goal!
  5. ....You're quite likely correct. Rick will have to make the changes on that one. Thanks.
  6. ....A couple of news items from the MNR.
  7. ....and to think I thought this was about Joey driving home from the local pub.
  8. ....I have a lot of money ivested in ice fishing gear and look forward to it's annual arrival. In fact I'll take ice fishing over the dog days of summer fishing anytime, without question. Bring on the ice!
  9. ....I guess not many hunters would want to bag this kind of a trophy.... 7-legged deer killed in FdL County
  10. ....Tiller.... Since I can only afford one boat it'll have to do. I understand you can get tops with full enclosures for tillers. I may look into though I'm quite fond of frostbit cheeks.
  11. ....Fantastic, stellar, amazing and fabulous are a few words that come to mind Peter. Congratulations.
  12. ....Scary? I'm not scary, well maybe a little scared in that boat load....lol But douG, now he's scary. Thanks for the smile guys.
  13. ....Super, I think you've got a hit there Roger. Get ready for the bright lights! Sadly I could only access the MP3 file, I'll try again tomorrow. On the plus side I've added it to my Christmas play list, thanks Roger.
  14. ....Spectacular! Congratulations to you Miss Joey. Odd though, I can't stop thinking I read this somewhere before?
  15. ....Glad to see you got the picture posting thing straightened out Photoz, glad to help. I too remember those photos, still good to see them again, bit of an odd bird though! Welcome to the new board.
  16. ...Should know in a week or two Wayne (I hope?). As for getting out on Cooks for perching, well it's usually my first ice outing. If I'm off I'll likely be there!
  17. ....Yerp, I seen that one a while back Doug, immediately thought....I want one"
  18. ....Small spoons have worked well for me on winter specks, especially the Williams midget. Yes I'd say move shallower, I've taken specks in as little as 18"s of water and wood is a good location anytime. Incoming springs or creeks are another definite zone to be in, just use extreme caution.
  19. ....Is there a room for me?
  20. ....Broken rods, oh it hurts to even think about it! Broke only one and that was the tip of my 13' Loomis float rod some 25 years ago, replaced no questions asked. I might add it was my fault and I told them so, yet they still replaced it.
  21. ....Well I didn't really get out much this year but some of the highlights that made the year for me were fishing with IceguyD (as well as his wife and his buddy Bob) and Aaron Shirley. It was IceguyD (Don) who extended an invitation to Aaron and I to join him for a day on Simcoe ice. Suffice to say it was a great day. Aaron wasted no time in tagging the first whitey of the day. Don's buddy Bob also did well. While I never did get a whitey I did manage a couple of nice lakers. and Don who missed a few opportunities finally gets one..... It was a great day! Of course there were other great outings like the winter trip I took to Lakair with TEP to fish with TJ and Kevin as well as the G2G in June. I'm sure most have seen or read about those adventures. But it was a trip in September I took with TEP to the Thunder Bay region that highlights my year. No trophies for me but some PB's were definitely caught. I'd been trying for a few years to accept an invitation from Dan and Sis to get my tail up there and thanks to some arm twisting from TEP, it finally happened. The inability of me to set a new personal best can't take anything away from the thrill of trip. Watching TEP catch his first brookie on the first evening was awesome. Congrats Jef! And again being there with Dan to net and photograph this beauty when he caught it are the thing dreams are made of for me. You know I'll be back Dan and Sis, it's all your fault. On this trip I aslo had the chance to fish Musky for my first tiem and while it didn't produce my first Musky, Jef was an absolute stellar and patient guide, but man is he addicted. we'll get 'em next year Buddy! And thanks to all who have posted, I've enjoyed reading the posts and viewing the pictures. Boy there are some amazing pictures!
  22. ....Wow, cogratulations Joey. Man am I ever glad we made that deal.
  23. .....Born in Hamilton and raised in Burlington. Now residing in Hamilton and wishing I was from Sturgeon Falls.
  24. ....Well isn't that just festive and I'll bet he didn't even need a ladder. Glad things are looking up for you both. I certantly hope we'll be able to get together in the new year on some Simcoe ice. In the mean time Chuck, SETTLE DOWN AND RELAX
