  1. I live in London and I used to fish the Thames often, but not so much any more.
  2. With my insurance company they said I was covered towing my boat to and from the lake, but that I wasn't covered when my boat was in the water. I would definitely check to see if you have on the water liability with your insurance company.
  3. Walleye season on the Thames closed March 15th . You can likely catch suckers in the Thames or you could try fishing Sharon Creek reservoir for crappie.
  4. I did that with my daughters when they were young and now we do it with my grandson. Definitely good times!
  5. It is always great to see a dedicated group of fishermen helping the fish we all love to catch.
  6. For steelhead the Dominion 377 is by far the best spoon I've ever used. Dominion was sold to Lucky Strike and they marketed it as the Wizzard(brass) and the Lizzard(steel) but stopped producing the smaller size and now you can only get them in a size which is too large for steelhead.
  7. I had a 25 Johnson and once I got it started in the morning it would start on the first pull the rest of the day. I had an electric start for the motor, but never felt the need to install it. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment from your new boat.
  8. If you left out the part about winning tickets, then your trip would be like many of mine.LOL
  9. I look forward to your next video. Well done!
  10. A beautiful rod made by a gifted rod maker.
  11. Thanks for posting!
  12. Somehow you have to work things out before you have a break down of some sort. Speak to your boss and tell him how you feel and that you can't keep working the long hours that you are now working. It sounds as though what your doing is in high demand so if your boss won't help you out you may have to move to another shop. Best of luck!
  13. I like your original " hire a Sherpa" idea. All of the other suggestions sound like too much work.
  14. I grew up in St. Thomas and have to wonder what would make you choose St. Thomas as a destination. If I was going to stay there I would likely stay at the Day's Inn which is located at the east end of Talbot St. on the way to Aylmer. Jumbo's statue is not far from the Elgin County War Museum. Not many good restaurants in St. Thomas ,but you aren't far from London. There is another museum on Hwy. 4 south of the city. The RR museum is also located in town. After seeing these in the morning you could go tour Port Stanley in the first part of the afternoon, then head east to Sparta where some touristy shops are located. Hope you enjoy your day in St. Thomas.
  15. There is a reef along most of the coast of Mexico and you aren't allowed to fish between the reef and shore. Perhaps the reef doesn't extend to your area?
  16. There are many people that do not respect other people's property rights today. The people that stole your hut I would bet are not the ones that you told to use your hut when you weren't around. I'm told that there are people that look for equipment to steal out of cars parked at popular fishing spots. I wish you luck recovering your hut and as others have said you have the right attitude.
  17. With the modern rods I don't think that there is much difference between the performance of a 1 piece rod and a 2 piece rod. I think it comes down to personal preference.
  18. Announced on Sports Net that Wilson has now been fired
  19. I ran a 25 on my 14 footer and it was scary fast on flat water. Each boat has a manufacturers plate on the transom with the largest recommended motor size for the boat. I would follow that guideline and if it states 20HP max then that is what I would go with.
  20. Looks to me like everyone had fun.
  21. Learn to Wallis cast!
  22. If you can get at them from the top , then I would suggest using the epoxy that you can buy at a dealer or they used to sell it at Canadian tire. I don't know if you could do it from the underside.
  23. Great looking fish, I am jealous.
  24. Take up Harrison's offer and let him watch you to see what you are doing wrong. You don't need a fishing licence to practice casting, tie a bell sinker to your line or use a spoon with the hooks removed and you won't get into any trouble. Any angler ,like Harrison in your area will be able to sort out your casting difficulties.
  25. I waited until I sold my boat to get mine. That doesn't make me sound overly smart does it ?
