Hey lex maybe we can make a date for us and rich to get together for a bit of a fish-off,,lol, glad to help anyone out there,,it may be tough at first but after a bit of help it's easy fishin,,,steve knows the river and is always willing to give a little info!

Actually bought mine at fishmasters store,,had to order it but didn't take much more then a week,,i find it much easier to read then a vexilar and maybe more accurate!!

I have one and have no complaints with it,,,works great!

Thanks guy's,,,it was rought out there last year for me so i'm glad this year is starting off a little better,,Ice out there is anywhere between3.5 to 5" of ice but i didn't venture to much up and down river so not to sure about that i'm sure steve will be checking the ice up and down river this week sometime,,,marked a bunch of fish tight to the bottom with a few followers,,,It'll only get better from here!!

your looking for a clam guide,,perfect size and weight for what you need,,,i also have a shapell rover 2.0,,,which works really well for me,,,the only problem is that you have lots of room to bring stuff,,so ya do and then the weight starts to add up!

Just went to ct tonight and picked up some of the gulp fry,,,will let you know how they work up at simcoe tomorrow!!

Gm had some isues with the pcm's and connectors corroding,,just look at the pcm and if it's all white and starting to seperate,,it'll be an issue.

Rich also remember that presentation is everything when panfish turn finicky,,,it may be as simple as a horizontal jig rather then vertical,,colour,deadsticking or ripping,,,i love the challenge,,,they will bite but experiment,,,i've had good luck with gulp red wax worms,,,but i really like the looks of that gulp fry!!

I'd definatly look into the ice transducer for that model,,,i'd also recommend the arm that vexilar has enabling you to position your transducer at an angle,,works great when fishing in a currant !

Well said joon,,It tough enough for these guys out here to survive,,and it's alot of work to catch and store bait,,,As i always said,,if you don't like the price of something,,don't buy it,,if you do,,don't complain you always have a choice!

if you think your getting ripped for live bait,,then you could always go out and catch it for yourself,,,right?

pure,,,,the same thing happened last year !! we were back on the ice in a week,,,,and with looking at the forcast,,,might be the same this year!!

I bought one last year for my two man ice hut,,,it worked well until the temps really dropped and the wind picked up,,,i would recommend saving the money to buy a buddy heater,,,you'll all be much happier with the purchase!

Actually guys just to make a point ,,,if you look in the manuals of ice huts they tell you that it is normal to see small holes at the stitching,,, i remember reading that somewhere,,doesn't mean that it is shaudy workmanship or quality,

nice going guy's (and gal)...looking foward to the hard ice fishing season myself,,,hopefully we can hook up on the grand this year!
