The Leafs won't make the playoffs next year and who'd want them too?? More picks and young player development is part of the Shanaplan. Edmonton in front of Toronto? Maybe, but that team and management is an embarrassment to themselves. There on their 4th superstar and still doing horrible. I'd put my money on the exec team in Toronto to make the difference. Sens Still Suck

All I can say is thank God I'm not an Ottawa fan! That is a disaster of a team! A bunch of overpaid underachieving losers who sucked bad enough to miss the playoffs and get their coach fired yet managed to make sure they got a lousy draft pick. Pierre Dorion and the Ottawa Sun referred to their effort as a "Brutal display"!!! That's gotta hurt! Ottawa is right where Toronto was 6 years ago. Sad!! I'll bet it wasn't the Ottawa executive team out celebrating last night. Matthews, Nylander, and Marner is a great start to a rebuild. Looks like it's time for all the Ottawa " fans" who used to be Leaf fans to start looking for another team to bestow their shallow support on. It's going to be a looooooooooooong drought of disappointment in Ottawa. Go Leafs Go!! Sens Still Suck!!!

The Pacers are the ones putting up the points but it's the Raptors beating the Raptors. They're playing so damn tight.

What is it with young people today? NF

Not all trades are created equal regarding demand and the strength of the trades has been diminished by the reduction of the demand. Less manufacturing province wide has had a definite effect on the number of skilled tradesman required. Simple supply and demand. This has had a ripple effect beginning at company levels and all the way down to residential. With so many available electricians and plumbers, there is an increase in cash deals for home services. With interest rates so low and more people buying homes than ever, why are so many of the 2-10 people service businesses going out of business? I was asked to speak to the apprenticeship classes at Mohawk College a few years ago about the value of trades and trades as a career option. I asked, "Would you like me to tell the truth?" I got a puzzled look in return so I continued. "Would you like me to explain how in the machining and die making industry, the majority of the jobs have been relocated offshore? That in many cases only prototype work, work that is expensive to ship, time sensitive or higher complexity is the work North Americans can compete at?" This hurts job prospects for new machinists. I had just finished "right sizing" a business from 96 employees to 17. Tell me again why I should go into that trade? -

Love listening to 50+ years old people criticizing the next younger generation. Like they they(we) have any damn idea what it's like to be 25 years old in 2016. They are faced with a multitude of pressures that didn't even exist 40 years ago. The post Lucas put up nailed it. It's easy to ramble on with the "I did this" and "I did that" but under what circumstances? What inflation rate, housing costs, cost of living? What about globalization and the effects that has had on the job market and the pressure to increase the base level education. There is nothing wrong with this generation. Just like our parents were wrong when they made general criticisms about our whole generation. Kids will figure it out, just like us. And they'll do it their way, not our way...just like us. -

Hey quit picking on Phil!!! Remember when he got traded away? He was an elite player who was going to light it up with Pittsburgh! Oh yeah! Playing with Crosby and Malkin there is no stopping him now!!! GP G A PTS 2014-2015 MAPLE LEAFS 82 25 36 61 2015-2016 PENGUINS 82 26 33 59 Letang played 11 fewer games and got 8 more points. Not bad for defense. Malkin scored 1 more goal and finished with 1 less point...and played 25 fewer games. Those are still pretty good numbers but nothing like what is expected of him. Hockey News predicted a +/- 42 goal season. Fooled them again Phil!! Crosby's a damn puck hog! LOL

When you get in to apps, you get in to data, when you get in to data, the word cheap no longer applies. That is unless you only need your app when you're connected to wifi.

It's easy, when they too dirty, put them in the classified and we'll clean them up.

I don't have a good feeling about this.....tried it once, New Jersey.

I think this thread is going to offer up some great entertainment. There's stuff there I didn't know existed.

Hunting with a good dog is probably my favorite things ever. You get the excitement of the hunt and the shot, then you get to watch the dog go to work. Awesome!

^^^ Thinking the same thing about bass...In a more subtle colour that would make a great largie bait where fish normally only see plastics due to the weeds.

My father used to wear cheap sunglasses all the time. He was on Lake O 4-5 days a WEEK, dawn to dusk, and every night he'd be exhausted and his eyes looked like two pee hole in the snow. He finally agreed to wear my backup H2O glasses. I never got them back! He said the biggest thing he noticed was he was slumped over in his chair an hour after getting home...he still had energy. No more burning eyes or headaches while on the water either. I look at it this way, everybody's different and no doubt there are guys that could wear tinted scotch tape across their face and never have an issue, but because it's my eyes and the sun is getting nastier every year, I'm buying decent glasses. I've spent way more money on far stupider things. LOL Now, where'd I put my Color-C-Lector??

^^^ Those seats look great Art. I like the bit of storage underneath as well.

What ever system is put in place will be manipulated before too long regardless...even Shane's. What stops a near bottom team from sandbagging themselves out of the playoffs and then magically cleaning up after their mathematically eliminated? If you were playing Washington first round wouldn't you? You can't beat them but you can sure as heck beat most of the teams below you. If teams are intentionally tanking, then it's a very difficult thing to control. Baseball is going through the same issues.
