  1. Thanks for the suggestions. If I remember correctly, I left a water bottle on my work bench and it froze solid but not until into January/February. That said, the polishes and cleaners I have would last at least that long before freezing. I was going to finish insulating the "long" wall and wrap it with poly so maybe a small electric space heat would be too bad? I won't have any fuels or vehicles in there...well maybe a lawn tractor but it wouldn't be started until spring. I like that plug in thermostat ^^^^. Didn't know they existed. Thanks!
  2. Hey Guys, I just had a new insulated garage door installed and would like to add a heater in the garage for the winter. It's an attached, single car garage and I'd like to keep the garage above the freezing temp but certainly not room temperature. I'll be storing gelcoat refinishing products in there and don't want it to freeze. Suggestions?
  3. I'm not really seeing the sin in fishing a pond, hunting over a pond or watching birds at a pond. When did ponds become off limits or deemed unethical locations?
  4. I'd move fuel forward before batteries.
  5. Google the RAM double suction mount... RAM-B-189B-FRO1U-RAM Might work for you and no drilling.
  6. You need to decide if you want to keep your plastics in the original bags. I personally do not. Having 30 bags stuffed into Tupperware totes is a nightmare in the boat. I use Plano boxes and have everything in individual compartments and the boxes labeled (tubes, tubes natural, beavers, senkos, etc).
  7. I agree with you Brian but to answer your question, your RIGHTS are yours because someone allows you the right. The right to hunt with a spear can disappear in blink. You drive a vehicle...not a right. They even have control over how you drive it. The reality is people get all puffed up about their rights when in fact it's a fragile bubble that can be burst at any time. Fishing? you have a licence in your pocket...not a right! Just saying.
  8. I don't have any issue with someone wanting to use a gun, bow, spear or ballpoint pen to hunt with. I have issue with putting it on social media. What does anyone really expect the reaction to be??? If I found a wounded bird and dispatched it for humane reasons and posted it online, I'd have a bunch of whack jobs freaking out because it should have been taken to Sick Kids for treatment. Go about your business and follow the law. Don't think that rubbing a tree huggers nose in the fact you harvested an animal will result in anything positive. If anything, our powers at be will modify the rules to satisfy the masses and you're hobby will be gone.
  9. Dang, Bill. I just drove to Barrie and Orillia yesterday on business.Could have easily helped you out.
  10. Us guys in this area have dealt with Great Northern battery for years. Can't beat them and their batteries are quality.
  11. You look Lew happy. Good job...beautiful looking area.
  12. Home Depot does have the stainless staples...just bought some two weeks ago.
  13. I also use Seagar 90% of the time. 6 foot leads on my rods with micro guides and 15 foot leads on the rest. As for weight...6-8 on Erie(spinning), 10-20 anything clearer and senko(spinning), baitcasting = sky's the limit lol
  14. Might not take that long...Watch him bail out before the election. He'd rather quit than lose, so he'll make up some lame excuse and try to be a martyr.

  16. You'd be the second guy
  17. I hate this thread...so far I'm in agreement with lookinforwalleye(Montreal Canadiens) and muskymatt(Ottawa Senators)!! These US politics are tearing us apart!!!! hehehe
  18. How does puking up the fish plus some, add protein?? LOL What an idiot! At least he is sharp enough to "locate the side of the fish" LMAO
  19. I always wondered who in their right mind would actually cast a vote in favour of making Donald Trump the President.
  20. Thanks Dan
  21. Usually the right decisions are the hardest to make. Must have been tough to watch her go. I'm not much of a musky guy, ok...near zero of a musky guy, but if you ever want to chase musky bait(bass) or do some musky fishing with a greenhorn, I would gladly share my boat with you.
  22. I can send you diagrams on how to hook everything up. That part is fairly straight forward. Just make sure you power the backbone through one of the supplied T's and you put a switch on it so you can turn it off. My issue is the cost of buying one or two T's and a short cable is darn near the same as a starter kit. I'll bite the bullet because I'm anxious to get the Point 1 installed.
  23. Good question...you should start a thread.
  24. Anyone install a NMEA network on their boat? It appears I'll need more that the Lowrance starter kit...2 extra tee's and an extra 2' cable. Did you buy two starter kits of just the extra parts?
  25. ^^^ LOL There should be a warning at the beginning of that video...you WILL be a little dumber after watching it! hahaha
