Wilson's is definately open! I drive by it every day! They are located right across the street from the Moss Park Armoury on Queen Street, near Jarvis... FRH... they moved over the summer. HH

I have a 96 Jimmy and have recently (within the last year) had similar problems. Stupid question, but did you try engaging the 4 x 4 with the vehicle in Park? That was the trick for mine, after the mechanic cleaned out all the guck in the front end... I don't put it into 4X4 enough and the gunk plugs up the various vacuum lines etc... putting the truck into park, then engaging the 4x4 has worked well for us this winter season. I hope someone else chimes in for ya as well! HH

I would 2nd the suggestion of using snap weights to achieve the depth you want. Again, speed with be a huge factor in being able to repeat success. Sounds like it would be fun though! HH

I was watching CNN last night, and they reported that there were something like 31,000 lightning strikes per hour as a result of that front that went through the U.S. yesterday. Glad to hear our OFNer's state side are ok... that was one nasty bit of weather! HH

updated from a "Watch" to a "warning". Guys, I'm a frost bitten Canadian boy who can handle the cold and snow with the best of them... but to be honest, my 50 minute commute will grow into a 90 minute commute very quickly if what they say is coming, arrives. On the bright side, my son and I will be able to put a second story on the snow fort we built on Sunday! HH

Interesting topic, I have a bit of a different take on the situation. As my wife is a school administrator, I have some inside knowledge as to the school's approach. It's all about funding or should I say a lack there of! Field trips etc... are not being properly funded by the school boards/Ontario government, it has to do with the funding formula established by the Harris government. Our kids are then forced/asked to help raise funds for the school. I personally don't think it is such a bad idea as it teaches kids the value of a dollar and helps to prepare them for the big bad world outside of school. We live in a capitalist society and the sooner they learn that, the better off they will be. IMHO! I have no patience for folks asking for money for nothing, the world doesn't work that way... when ever I am aksed for change or a smoke, I ask them if they have even a shred of dignity left in them... those that say no, usually need help! Those that don't answer, well, they really actually have! HH

Congrats Wayne! I have been fortunate enough to fish with Wayne and I can tell you that yes, he is exactly the same in person as he is here on the board, the main difference being, here on the board, you can close the thread to get him to stop! LOL Keep up the good work Wayne, HH

Well, without jinxing myself... I have NEVER had a ticket for driving/speeding, actually, I've never been pulled over and wouldn't know what to do if I did!LOL I drive "like an old woman" as my wife says, but my insurance rating is excellent, I don't have to pay tickets and I arrive at my destination a couple of minutes behind the folks that go rippin by me. I guess sencond place is alright by me! HH

Aint it the way things go... as a result of our office move, I have Friday off work! Wouldn't it be a nice day to be sitting on the ice, putting a dent in the local Perch population! Instead, I will find myself shovelling out the driveway and that of my neighbours on Friday! Aint life grand!LOL HH
