  1. Oh, don't worry Kirk... they'll help themselves to anything you have! All the help you could possibly ask for and more! LOL Stoty, yes if was preventable, but no more preventable then the guys who take their "just a little too small" boat on Lake O, but are gonna stay close to shore. Virtually all "bad things" that can happen are preventable, if we don't do anything! HH
  2. Solo! HH
  3. Thanks for the insight John... as it was my Dad's truck, I am pretty sure I can get a deal from the Estate Executor! Dealership offer me $14,500 for it a couple of months ago. It's paid off and will not require any money to change hands, just a "buy out" from the other parties. Thanks again and keep 'em coming if you can! HH
  4. PERCHER!!!!!!! Yes, I am yelling!LOL HH
  5. Thanks A.C. ... It's the v6 version and I don't know if it has the factory tow kit on it... my future boat will be 16 or 17 ft, that's all I know as of now! Wayne, ideal vehicle for ice driving! Not too big so it doesn't fall through as fast! LOL HH
  6. Uh... yah... and getting in your car and driving on the 401 hasn't had any ill affect on any in the past either! Or standing at Victoria Park Station on the TTC at mid-night has all the assurances that anyone needs , for their own safety! Life is full of risks, unless you live in a plastic bubble. I don't think he was reckless, just a little unlucky. HH
  7. Here Perchie Perchie Perchie! LOL Late ice means more opportunities for a feed or two of Perch, without freezing your ba doop do off doing it! Thanks, HH
  8. My 96 Jimmy is gettin a little long in the tooth. It only has 150km on it, but age is starting to add up on the old wallet. With my Dad's passing last fall, I have an opportunity to become the owner of a 2005 Ford Escape, with 30K on it. I'm considering picking this vehicle up, but have some concerns about towing ability, fuel costs and general maintenance of this SUV. I have driven it a couple of times, noticed myself that it is a pretty hungry motor, but was wondering if it might be a good tow vehicle for my boat, which I am planning to buy in the near future. Your thoughts on the vehicle are muchly appreciated! HH
  9. I have been driving my vehicle onto the ice for many years, with, knock on wood, no problems. When I was out there two weekends past, there must have been at least 200 other vehicles out there as well. There are no sure fire safe ice conditions, but there are no sure fire safe anything any more. so you hit a bad spot, bad luck to you. You got 'er out, your safe and sound, chalk it up to experience, but don't give up the sport! Lookin at Perchin on Friday and planning at this time, to drive out to my spot. Changing conditions will determin my final plans, but come on folks, it's a highway out there and on guy got unlucky/ really lucky! I wonder how some of you guys ever make it out of the house?! HH
  10. A good friend of moine works at the post office and he brings home the CTC flyer on the Monday of every week... 4 days before the sales hit and a good 3 -4 days before they arrive in your mail box. Pretty much up on CTC sales every week! HH
  11. Be vairry vairry quiet! HH
  12. G... just throw Corey overboard and you'll stay in place! LOL! HH
  13. Your right Wayne, the ballet is a very special place! HH
  14. I think I'm addicted to poles! HH
  15. Holdfast... Suzuki eating your shorts may cause flatulatory issues and as such, add to global warming! I'd suggest he just walks around wearing them on his head instead! HH
  16. Millartime... it seems to me that a large number of your show's viewers have opinions about your show, and have expressed them here... admittedly, some more eloquently than others, but what I find most disconcerting regarding your post is this; Here you have a captive audience and instead of using the criticism to perhaps "improve" your show, you have taken exactly the opposite tact. I wish I had a place like this for my clients to discuss what they do and don't like about my service. I'd be sure to keep an eye on it and introduce effective measures to help keep my business number one! To be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in your response. HH
  17. Ok... here's what I was "taught" just recently by FishnSled with regard to Whities... if you see them under your bait, jig higher and don't stop! Raise your rod up and keep jiggin... it worked for him and eventually for me as well. HH
  18. I don't possess the "sphere's" to even consider that! Gotta be nuts! HH
  19. I'll trade you a free coffee and a free doughnut for the GPS! LOL Congrats... now Paul will know where YOU"RE catchin the fish! HH
  20. With the price of gas continuing to rise, with rumours of gas hitting $1.40 /ltr by the summer, what if any effect with this have on your fishin plans for the summer? We've had this question before, but given that it is a slow time of year and I never really was a Chuck Norris fan, I thought I'd pose this question! HH
  21. Andy for Prime Minister! Don Cherry could be his right hand guy! HH
  22. That makes sense Fisher... you'll probably be in better shape out there, not worrying about various things... but I bet you after the first time out with a guide, you'll be self guiding in no time. HH
  23. Hey Splashopper...plain English would dictate that you should go carp fishing after March 15th!LOL ... Carp are overly abundant in the Thames and can be a ton o fun, on light equipment, between open seasons for game fish. The breakwall in Greenway Park, as well as the train bridge in the same park can hold monster Carp and suckers... on a nice sunny day, a ton o fun! HH
  24. Good report and Pics Wayne! Too bad about the fishing, but at least you were out and about rather than sitting at home watchin it snow! Maybe next time! HH
