  1. It seems to me then, that Bob's guiding service would do well advertising on this site. Given the obvious laurels that he is receiving, it would make a get deal of sense to me anyway, that he invests a miniscule amount of his guiding money to better promote his service. Obviously there is a desire from his friends to make us members aware of his service. I hope you guys have a great spring on the river and look forward to your reports! HH
  2. Awesome! Congrats to you and you growing family... let the insanity begin! lol HH
  3. Great Vid man! Nice fish as well! I couldn't help but notice that as the video went on, your hands were beginning to match your red coat!!! Thanks for posting! HH
  4. Welcome to OFC! Just in case you need it, the Addiction Research Centre has a room set aside for all OFC'ers, just in case the board goes down again or your ISP has service delivery issues... there's safety in numbers ya know! HH
  5. I would think that a 40hp 4 stroke would be too much weight in the back end... as mentioned, I would sell the 40 and get a 25 -30hp. HH
  6. Oh, I agree with you John, it's not the end all, be all answer, but it sure does seem to me to be a better option than just throwing money at them! I would suggest that government based incentives would help to create a chain reaction in the economy, from parts to final assembly, which in turn, will trickle down through the economy. Couple that with consessions from the workers and there might be something there! At any rate, I don't think GM is savable at this point. The CAW negoiated a $6-7/hour decrease for it's membership, while GM asked for $25! Still costing the company about $75../hr per employee! (including benefits etc...) HH
  7. Thanks God my wife doesn't come here... actually, for more reasons than that beautiful pup! Good luck, I'm sure a good home will be found. HH
  8. I heard the president of Ford of Canada on the radio today, dude made sense! He said that bailing out GM and or Chrysler in not the way to make them viable... his thought was to make money more available to the public and provide incentives to the consumer, to get them into show rooms and ultimately, buying again. Sure make more sense to me than simply dropping money into the problem! HH
  9. Serg, you will probably garner more and better info if you would take some time to describe to us, what kinda fish, you past experience and most importantly, what your signature dish is! HH
  10. Bernie, that's terrible news! Hobbes was great, sitting on my feet while we watched TV... sorry for you loss my friend! HH
  11. Don't forget the pink rubber gloves as well Roy! These big box stores get a bad rap from far too many people... here's a perfect example of getting a little extra value for your money... simply buy a hot dog from the vendor outside the Home Depot, meet up with the ladies and viola!... dinner and a show! LMAO HH
  12. Guys be aware of a Home Depot parking lot scam. A "heads up" for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good looking girls come over to your car as you are packing your materials into your vehicle. They both start wiping your windshield with a towel and Windex and with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts it almost impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say '"no" and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds. You agree and they get in the back of the truck. On the way, they start undressing then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen June 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, and the 29th and again on July 1st, the 4th and twice on the 8th, 16th and the 23rd. So tell your friends to be careful. BTW Wal-Mart has wallets on sale 1.99 each. HH
  13. Those are great Bernie! Please do keep 'em coming. And your right, the shot on the tracktor is magnificent! HH PS.. Cases of Crystal and IPA... brings me right back to those days standing out in front of the beer store trying to get someone to buy beer for me!!!!LOL
  14. Having recently attended the University of Temagami, I felt pretty confident that I would catch one! As I had forgotten my boots at home, I left them right at the front door, but they ended up behind the front door as I was packing the truck, we didn't get there and fishing until close to nine o'clock. Apparently Cliff had lost three at the hole, before we arrived. I don't think Cliff got another bite after we arrived! I had three bites, one fish on and landed... scrawney little bugger that it was! Then the rain started and cut our day short. Lessons learned from this outing... 1. Buy some studds for my boots! My legs are still stiffer than a honeymooner's.... fill in the blank! 2. Tie my boots around my neck the night before I go fishin, the wife won't even notice them flailling around in bed... take 'em off before the shower! I had fun out there guys! Godd to get out with FnS again, too long brother, too long! Advantages to fishin with CLiff... I don't have to do a report!!!!! HH
  15. Well Wayne, it's not the pangs of guilt I would feel from missing work that would be the challenge for me, it's getting a furlow from the Warden... or consider retaining legal counsel! HH
  16. I would get back to work Wayne, but for a couple of reasons; 1. The boss left for Jamaica this morning!!!!! 2. I have never been slower in this business in 20 years! HH
  17. In the beginning God covered the earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, with green, yellow and red vegetables of all kinds so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives. Then using God's bountiful gifts, Satan created Dairy Ice Cream and Magnums. And Satan said, 'You want hot fudge with that? And Man said, 'Yes!' And Woman said, 'I'll have one too with chocolate chips'. And lo they gained 10 pounds. And God created the healthy yoghurt that woman might keep the figure that man found so fair. And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat and sugar from the cane and combined them. And Woman went from size 12 to size 14. So God said, 'Try my fresh green salad'. And Satan presented Blue Cheese dressing and garlic croutons on the side. And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast. God then said 'I have sent you healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them'.. And Satan brought forth deep fried coconut king prawns, butter-dipped lobster chunks and chicken fried steak, so big it needed its own platter, and Man's cholesterol went through the roof. Then God brought forth the potato; naturally low in fat and brimming with potassium and good nutrition. Then Satan peeled off the healthy skin and sliced the starchy centre into chips and deep-fried them in animal fats adding copious quantities of salt. And Man put on more pounds. God then brought forth running shoes so that his Children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan came forth with a cable TV with remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering light and started wearing stretch jogging suits. Then God gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonalds and the $2 double cheeseburger. Then Satan said 'You want fries with that?' and Man replied, 'Yes, and super size 'em'. And Satan said, 'It is good.' And Man and Woman went into cardiac arrest. God sighed ......... And created quadruple by-pass surgery. And then ............ Satan chuckled and created the National Health Service. THE FINAL WORD ON NUTRITION After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the final word on nutrition and health.: 1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 3. Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 5. Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 6. The French eat foie-Gras, full fat cheese and drink red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you. HH
  18. Sorry, I have to disagree Raf... Artist's made great money off of record sales historically, that is until audio cassettes became popular, only to be replaced by file sharing. Not all artists, mind you, the successful one's. What I find most shocking here is two things... 1. people are defending their right to steal. 2. people responding to the thread changing peoples names, ie Chrissy! Who do you think you are , Joe Bowen? You may not agree with Chris or others opposed to YOUR point of view, but historically, we here have not lowered ourselves to calling each other names... it's about respect man... show some decorum! HH PS... no, I don't have a free to air satelite dish either! Go ahead, bash away!
  19. I think some of you protest too much! I guess if you can't wrap your hands around something, it has no real value? Intellectual rights have value, but it appears though, that some individules have no intellect. HH
  20. Well put Chris S! I have to admitt to down loading musci files, but I will also say that all of the music I have down loeaded, I have on vinyl. I don't have a method of converting analog to digital, so I down load the music I have already purchased, to add to my MP3 player. I have never down loaded a movie, no interest...but I can most certain appreciate what you have said, and whole heartedly agree. HH
  21. Up hill both directions only to be fed broken glass for a meal! The kids these days, don't know how good they have it! LMAO HH
  22. Ok... so let me get this straight... you had this means of transportation the whole time, but left it at home, then we travel over one hundred miles on snow machines to get to a lake you then tell me you can land and take off from and are looking forward to the 8 minute ride from the cottage... so now you post this report adding salt to the wound... in hindsight... I'd have done the same thing! LOL Nice Wayne... thanks for posting! HH
  23. No surprised at all! The folks at AIG in the states, took off on a junket (the execs.) right after receiving their first installment of bail out money from the U.S. government. Here's another kick in the nuts... Chysler is laying off an entire shift in Windsor after receiving money from both U.S. and Canadian governments... should ther be some kinda tie in between public funds and manitaining employments levels? Just a bunch crap I say! HH
  24. "The world is full of Kings and Queens who'll blind yer eyes then steal your dreams, it's Heaven and Hell" RJD HH
  25. Same old song.... Carry on, my wayward son.... HH
