Well, to those who say he doesn't sound like Cash, how many of you can actually say you heard Johnny sing when he was 16 years old? Might well have sounded like that... regardless, I think the kid's got something going on and I look forward to hearing more from him in the future! Man, it seems to me that there are some folks here who simply must be the polar opposite of just about anything anybody says... must be fun folks to live with! HH
-
Actually G, that's exactly my first thought when I saw this, this morning... I really think he nails many of the sublties that made Cash, so awesome. Can only imagine how good he will be when his voice matures and his skills get honed. HH

Barbados! Civilized, English speaking, Canadian banks everywhere, real booze and food and the farthest island out in the Atlantic... and the deep sea fishing is great! HH

This is for all the Johnny Cash fans out there! http://www.katu.com/home/video/11944831.ht...deo=pop&t=a HH

Great report and pics G! You experience out on the big water is very similar to mine... except the folks chumming the water in my situation were a young Bristish couple who spent the entire charter, chumming the water, while my wife and I drank beer! Looks like a beautiful place, hope the food was good, looked like the bar was good! LOL HH -
My best man surprised me by arriving at my office, putting a bag over my head (no, not the first time that's happened) and walked me down Bay street to a waiting van. I had no idea what was going on. After a few hours of sitting in a van with a bag over my head, we arrived at Stoney Lake, where he had arranged to have a number of my friends and enemy's waiting in three rented cottages. I recall arriving and leaving... not much else... although, many of my friends harken back to that weekend with a smile... I couldn't even tell you the name of the place! I was a blast! I think! I'm with Daplumma on the ballet thing... I don't wanna see a menu I can't order from! HH

Care to pass along an address Capt Bruce.... I aspire to reach your lofty goals! I only have one room, but based on my G.A.S. problem (GAS - Gear Aquisition Syndrom) I will be filling it up a bit more this weekend! HH

Hey Peter, My only experience with them is the Tom Scholz Power Soak, from many years ago. The folks I knew using them either really liked what they did or hated the sound. Many complained that the tone they were looking for was gone after engaging the soak. Wish I could help more... just a thought, but maybe consider using a pedal to get that distortion your looking for, rather then heating up those beautiful tubes. POD, etc.... HH

Happy B-Day Bill... are you legal now? HH

Dude, I have seen early maps of Toronto and am fully aware of the Leslie Spit's history. I assume you haven't walked the Spit as you would be aware of all the work being done to make it come to life. Having lived nearby for many years I have watched the Cormorant slowly destroy it, section by section, year by year. HH

Wayne, you forgot the garlic! For anyone in the GTA, who's not seen the devastation these birds have created, just take yourself and or you family for a nice walk on the Leslie Spit nature trail... you will notice as you get toward the end of the spit, there is a section of the Spit that looks like it was ripped from the moon and dropped onto the inner harbour of Toronto. These birds can be seen all along the shores of Lake O and there is a constant stream of them flying back and forth from feeding grounds to their nests. The conservation authority is having a very difficult time deciding what course of action to take... leave them alone and let them destroy the whole spit, or cull them and have all the bleeding heart "naturalists" climbing up and down their back. HH

I'll 2nd Ron's suggestion of Orno Cat World. If your into exotic cats, and want to see one close and I mean close, this is the place for you. The Toronto Zoo is nice, but you just don't get close to the animals. Orno Cat World puts you within feet of these incredible animals. You could do the Bowmanville zoo in the morning and arrive at Orno Cat World for 1:00pm feeding time quite easily. It anit fancy, but without a doubt, the best place to see lions, tigers, panthers etc... up close and personal. HH

I think Terry and Wayne are metal heads! HH

Asked of a recent retiree, what plans they have for the future... "I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired? Well..I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine. " Sounds like a plan to me! HH

Look's like a potential shoal marker to me. HH

I've gotten to the point that I simply can't watch it any more, I won't let my mind follow the logical step of putting me and my kids in these parent's situation. My kids have been wondering why Dad has become such a softy this week... God bless all involved. HH

I hope I can still rock like them when I get that old. I can't imagine how happy Mike Anthony is, getting out from under the ego of EVH. This is a band that has talent, experience and business savy, a combination that should lead to much success and longevity... I hope! HH
