  1. http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/msg/ Dude, this is by far your be bang for your buck! Actually, there's a Martin for sale a couple of pages down for an asking price of $500.00. That's a steal for a Martin! Keep an eye on what pops up in the link above and you will find your guitard. HH
  2. Given that I believe that the Jays are in town this weekend and the fact that most of the major arteries are semi-blocked, I would suggest taking the Go Train. Alternatively, I would get off the Gardiner at Spadina, drive along King and find a place to park a few blocks from your destination. It's starting to look like a war zone down here and I can't see it getting any better for atleast 10 days. HH
  3. When the Ministry decides to stop allowing anglers to fish for trout during their spawning season, I may take heed of your words. But at this point, I find it rather insulting that you are asking folks to release their fish caught in Lake O, while you are standing in a creek fishing for spawning fish. What makes one more right than the other? HH
  4. People in glass boats should not throw rocks! HH
  5. I believe I heard that the three of them were in a 12 ft tinny... my condolences to their families. HH
  6. Un-screw the shower head and insert a cherry flavoured "Life Saver" in the socket. Screw the shower head back into place. The Life Saver will allow water to pass through and will disolve at the same time. No evidence and the victim comes out sticky and smelling of cherries! HH
  7. Way to go Lloyd and friends! Looks like a great day on the water. Joseph, have you ever left a stream and actually fished out on the big lake? In my experience, many fish that are hooked out there are done the moment they hit the upper water column. The temperature change kills them. Are you suggesting that we not fish out on Lake O in an effort to sustain a non native fishery? Give yer head a shake man! HH
  8. I will 2nd the buy used folks. You will get twice the guitar for 1/2 the money by doing a little work on Craig's List. If you have some playing skill, you will know the right guitar as soon as you pick it up. HH
  9. My wife's cousin built a cottage on the first island that can be seen from hwy 69. There are pike, bass and yes, the elusive pickereye in there. Alot of structure in the water in and around the islands, some humps that come out of deep water and some open flats that hold some pretty nice pickereye that no one fishes for. Had some decent luck trolling planer boards for pickereyes, you woun't have a problem finding the shoals as that's where all the other boats are fishin. You can order a pizza from Pizza Hut and they will deliver to the town dock! Civilized I'd say! LOL PM me if you need more! HH
  10. Great report! Really nice pics! HH
  11. Congrats buddy! Think of it this way... they are all working and now are restricted to vacation time to get up to the cottage so that means just the two of you for the summer... I hope you guys enjoy and I wish your daughter good fortune in her career! HH
  12. Not to highjack the thread, sorry O.P. ... but I was recently told of a "home remedy" that I have not tried, but am interested in. I was told to buy original Listerine, put it in a pump spray bottle and spray the area you are in thoroughly. They told me it will kill 'em if they are in the area and deter them from coming back. Anyone heard of the home remedy? HH
  13. By the look and actions of that bird, I bet she stole your motor and was trying to get you away from her hiding spot! Like others have said, there are very few things I hate more than a thief... sorry for your loss and I do hope that some where down the line, they get it back in spades! HH
  14. Ted, my brother from another mother! Grasp it by the base, I use my left hand as I am left handed ya know, and using my right hand, I gently twist off the top...viola! A nice cold refreshing Laker! Doh..., you meant fish, not beer! HH
  15. Good shooting Lads! Did I spot the "Polish Perch" hangin out of one of those Pickereye's mouth? Nice to see that someone can catch a fish on that thing! HH
  16. Holy papparazzi! Those fish must thought that Paris Hilton was swimmin along side them as I've never seen so many guys rushing the side of the boat to get a pic! LMAO! Was it a fishin trip or were you all working for the best shot to sell to the tabloids! LMAO! Like I said before Lloyd, your a Saint! HH
  17. Sorry for your lose Stoty... HH
  18. Well guys, tomorrow's the day and in all honesty, I'd love to be out there with yah, watchin Terry's face when that flash of silver rips by the boat, drag all scream'en and stuff. Those sheepies can put up quite a fight! BBBBBBBAAAAAAHHHHHHH! Have a blast, like you need me to tell you that and Will, make sure you wear that "slimming" rain suit, I'm guessing their will be pics and a report! Lloyd... your a saint for taking that crew out on your boat! HH
  19. I sure that if you just follow the spent lemon wedges floating behind the boat, you should have no problem find your way back to port! HH
  20. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/product.php?site=dtx&product=GLF&issuedby=LO&format=ci&version=1 Just so yah know... HH
  21. Well, we have a number of charter captains here, but I think we need to know where you are hoping to leave from, west end of the lake, central basin etc... Or, you could PM Fishhunter! HH
  22. A number of years ago, before my wife and I had kids, I spent a number of late fall, early winter weekends, chasing Pickereyes on Quinte. It was almost a ritual for us, fishing the weekends. One fine morning, a little nip in the air (-15C)we arrive at the Picton launch. All seemed normal, until we backed the boat into the water. I noticed that the boat seemed to be riding pretty low in the water, so I yell to my buddy, "Is the plug in?" "Yup, no doubt, it's in", he says. Well something seems wrong as the boat is riding much lower than normal" I said. Buddy gets out of the truck and says... "the boat is frozen to the trailer bunks!" Sure enough, I can see the trailor tires hanging there. Now, the water temp was something in the area of about 32.5F. We decided, since there was no other boats at the ramp, to see if the water would melt the boat off the trailor... no dice after 20 minutes. So I tell my buddy, isn't there a car wash in town, that has a power wash systems that we could use to blast the bunks and free up the boat? Yup! So we drive to the car wash, dump in a few bucks and start hammering the bunks with the hot spray. Once we ran out of money, we gunned it back to the ramp, back up and viola, floating boat! HH
  23. I assuming that with each package of jelly beans, they will include a pack of Tic Tac's! HH
  24. Hey Cliff, Have you noticed any insect /larva hatches lately? With everything being about 2-3 weeks early this year, perhaps the Pickereyes are stuffing themselves with insects, making your offerings inconsequentcial? Are you fishing typical spring patterns and if so, perhaps switching to "summer" tatics will net you better results. The only other suggestion that I have for you is probably somewhat radical for your lake, but have you tried trolling deep flats, middle of the lake and considered planner boards? Unless the population has crashed, they have to be there and they have to eat... hope this helps? HH
