I wouldn't rule out talking to Polar Kraft just yet. Could be worth the trouble. Maybe if you were interested in replacing your hull with a new Polar Kraft the company rep may have some pull and at least and get you a discount? Who knows, with the economy the way it is anything is worth a shot, one more happy customer on the roster wouldn't hurt their reputation. Start it off by looking for a free repair then lead them around to you willing to consider a new one if you don't have any luck getting compensated. But then that would all come down to what your budget is and if you are willing to dig down to pocket lint scrapping up the coin. Just an opinion so take it for what it's worth.

That fish is so fat it looks like a cartoon character, look at the chin and mouth on it. Nice catch fersure!

Guess we are And my knees are telling me that consistently now. Must have been quite some time since Zellers bought Towers and converted the name. Wasn't Towers known as Bonn something in Quebec? Let us know if you give the old reel a try. Would be a great trip if you caught a nice picker-eye with it...once season opens that is

Treasure it. My mother gave me my father's fishing equipment a couple of years ago, Penn reel. mitchel 300, mitchel 304? I forget the # right now, trout bag, his big steel fishing box and poles. I'm using one of the poles as he never used it, an old Shakespere made in Orillia. I needed some hooks the other day and went hunting. Can't use them. All in original packages wih price tags such as, Colegiate Sports, Can. Tire, Towers (anyone remember Towers?) Woolworth's etc. Classic store names. And a bunch of old lures. I am going to photograph the box just as it sits opened up and post it some day.

How old is the gas? If it's leftover from last season then there's the problem. Even with conditioner/stabilizer in it I don't use it in the outboard if it's that old. Check your sparkplugs too. I had a rough running incident once, had to turn up the idle and keep the throttle turned up a bit. Went and got a fresh tank of gas and it ran great!

I saw them in Walmart in Hamilton a few days ago and then I remembered this thread. Just wondering who else has tried it around the province and if so how do you like it? Sounds interesting, no bill, no L.D charges and take it with you.

Funniest thing I've heard for the last couple of days. And yes it is an eyesore. Wonderfull isn't it how money can turn government approvals in your favour. Hope the bush can reclaim it as fast as it can. -
Damn! I got goose pimples lookin' at those pics At least you were dressed for it Nice to get away all the same and I'm sure that there were some good times and the weather made the trip unforgetable.

Why all the fuss over bush beans? Take some chopped onion, sweet pepper, bbq sauce, brown sugar a splash of hot sauce and a can of any brand of beans you like or what ever was on sale at the store and you will have the best ever. Use your own judgement on the quantities. Brown half the onion in a spoon of oil, add the rest and the pepper and cook till the onions are near clear. Add the garlic and cook a few seconds, oops forgot to mention garlic, dump in the beans brown sugar and bbq plus the hot sauce. That's it! Guaranteed to set of the the stink alarm anywhere and takes only a few minutes longer than just opening a can. My son used to call it Dad's special beans when he was small

I think it has been closed since last year, at least since last autumn. Good idea posting so as no one wastes their time by going down there to fish. I do think that the Burlington side (pier) of the canal is open but have never seen anyone fishing that side.

Sounds really fantastic Cliff, I'll be up next week to look at it....but first I'll have to make a stop at the OLG office in T.O to pick up my lottery prize. But seriously I hope that a good person buys it and all works out. Maybe you posting it here will bring a favorable result.

Just as Fishlogic said. Go to court, explain your case and hope for the best. It never hurts to go over the regs wth a fine tooth comb and then try to remember them. The C.O did do his job so you can't falt hom for that. Like everything else in this country you have to understand the laws. For your sake I hope you don't end up with a record and that is why if you are right or wrong you have to put together a good defence for court. Good luck to you and next time read the regs. If you don't get it then ask here or even better get proper clarification first. BTW nothing wrong with a conservation license but follow the lower limit rules. I have bought both, one time I get the sport and next time renewel comes around and I say to heck with it I never keep the limit so why bother. Then I get the conservation permit and wish I bought a sport. Go figure eh? Right now I'm on the 2nd. year of a 3 year conservation permit. -
Can't stomach any of them. Why waste time wactching them on the tube. Nothing but idiots. Wish I could find one of them worth my vote, going to be tough to decide, and no the torture of listening to them debate would not help to sway me. Might as well have this dude run for federal politics, can't screw up any more than the others. Brother Mike

Congrates! Great car the new mustang, always a classic. Why would you need more HP ? In the 70's a boss 302 was rated at around 300 hp and that was considered plenty....mind you '71 boss 302 today in mint wold be more than your '12 and it wouldn't get the 30 mpg yours is rated at. Enjoy But watch out for the speed traps

NF - yard and grass questions...
pikehunter replied to The Urban Fisherman's topic in General Discussion
Now that is the best answer and solution! -
My son got a good deal on tires last fall at a tire shop in Burlington, Forget the name and he isn't home. Might have been Total Tire Some brand I never heard of before but they were great winter tires and cheap. I would put my money into new cheap tires before putting it into used tires unless they are just like new.

NF - yard and grass questions...
pikehunter replied to The Urban Fisherman's topic in General Discussion
Answer to the first question: Rottotiller, top soil and new sod. Then never ever cut your lawn short always 2 1/2 to 3 inches longer the better to keep the weeds at bay and Scott's fertilizer. Second question: Weedeater held on edge and whack the crap out of them or buy some vegatation killer. -
Nice catch Pikeslayer, they put up a nice fight when they get that size. I've never kept any cats for the table before, tried some fillets once from a fish store though and they were mild flavoured and tasted fine. But I haven't heard of anyone soaking the fillets to rid them of a muddy flavour before, I always thought cats were OK right from the water to the knife to the pan to the plate. Knew a guy from Germany a few years ago, they ate carp often over there. He said that they would have a muddy taste so after catching they would keep them alive in clean water for several days which was often changed before slicing them up for the dinner plate.

Here's the answer to your question and it's homemade, sort of. But you might have to add a little more floatation foam to your boat....

Took my mother down to LaSalle park boat ramp yesterday to see the swans and yes there was an empty boat trailer parked. Could have been the carrier to the boat that you saw.
