  1. LOTW for sure and also maybe Great Slave for monster lakers.... also would be nice to Hit Nipigon or another Speck lake... Fortunately I may be moving near Nipigon and within a few hrs drive of LOTW so my wishes may well come true
  2. Yup... no doubt that will tell you if there are fish down under, now only one problem remains... how to make 'em bite! Great setup there, good luck to you
  3. Hey now I just got home, Ya don't have to be rude, just cause no one likes talking to ya

  6. Snowing good in Burlington now... Just got back from my shift... only about 3" but its coming down heavier every hour... started as small compact icy flakes but is now fluffy like. Drive safe all... It can be dangerous out there
  7. Yup... thats what I heard earlier on... Sucks, but may take the drive up to see whats up...
  8. Darn... I wish but work gets in the darn way... Might have to head up sunday after the gun club though... anyone else going then?
  9. you're not wearing a hat in that picture Cliff, come to think of it you're being held by a guy I saw once at one of the fishing shows... Believe me it can be tough, everyone is less pleasant looking in real life thats what I noticed with the guys at the BOQ G2G anyway... Pixels really help hide hideousness
  10. Alright heres what I have used, dont know which are gonna be good for you but good luck http://onlineflytyer.com/flybox.asp http://www.virtualflybox.com/patterns/index.php?view=4 http://www.flyflinger.com/patterns.php Those are dome that I use and like i have others around somwhere but that should be a good start for you
  11. Simcoe perch action can be pretty fun. Its nice to be catching a bunch of fish to keep you warm as they arent the toughest fish to catch or find... Cooks bay will hopefully soon have huts out on it, by the new year it should be really safe with all operators going, at this rate anyway...
  12. Well I usually say I am impressed with your reports but now, I feel as if you are just rubbing in the fact that you get to go out and are so darn successful. Do you want us all to just feel poorly because we do not get to have our steel outings? Thanks for the report SP Great pics and fish
  13. I am glad I filled last night at 9 then... I was runnin on E.
  14. Keep in mind they are talking good strong BLACK/Clear Ice Stay Safe
  15. Great read there SP ... Thanks for sharing
  16. Thats exactly what I believe too Hookset... I know some Guys doing shows will keep the fish in livewells and when they have some will hookem back on and reel it in, thats how some guys get their double headers and several fish in "one" day... I have heard abouth this from a couple guides and find it unbelieveable... Too bad some guys suck so damned bad at fishing they have to do that... ohh well just have to flip the channel when you come to those shows
  17. Another Great show Dave... Awesome how you iout a luckate one method of fishing for each episode and great enthusiasm as well... The filming was better too because IMHO the first one flipped back and forth a little too much and could almost make ya dizzy. Again WTG with The Show like always it was a pleasant, educational experience
  18. new one? I am glad I have them all set to series record
  19. Lol... there ya go... mirror, mirror, on the wall who's the biggest redneck of them all?
  20. Currently I have both a Pop-up blind and a "portable" ice shelter... Just from using the blind I can tell you I doubt it would stand up to severe winds you find on open water. They can be difficult to anchor and although will act as a wind block I doubt they would in fact stand up to any moderate winds commonly found on the ice. If you are looking at ice shelters but don't really want to spend a few hundred bucks you can make your own as I and many have done for around 100$ It all depends on what your looking for, if its to block the wind you can make your own but if its to pull behind a sled or quad, I would look at the ones you can buy... As stated I would NOT trust my blind (which isn't a particularily cheap one) on the ice, the only one I could see is the larger ones with large push out metal frames, similar to the "ice cube" huts but then your looking at a couple hundred bucks again. Hope this helps some.
  21. Looking good Art... Thanks for sharing... If its not a beagle a coon hound will be the next dog I get... They're nice looking dogs too Congrats on the pup
  22. I haven't seen any of the alum ones before but I betcha a 10ft tinny would do the job lol
  23. Exactly what kind of fishing are you planning on doing? I know I love fishing small streams and creeks for resident trout and use a 3wt or my 4 wt, but if you are going to target bass/steel I would go heavier 6/7 and if pike or salmon are your thing your looking at an 8+ wt...
  24. Those are the words I too was thinking... Awesome Job Jen
