Interesting how we got from drinking and driving to cracked out hookers in no time......
-
You can not legislate responsibility or common sense. However we can pass your so called stupid laws that try to stop those who continue to put the lives of others at risk.

Thank you for everything you have said on this thread. Those of you that criticize either our drinking and driving laws or the men and women who are charged with enforcing them should give your head a shake! They should be considerably tougher similar to European laws. Unless you have seen first hand the carnage that the drunk, inebriated, intoxicated, (choose your own word), cause on our roads each and every day you are kidding yourselves and are in denial. Unfortunately, I have. I don't necessarily support MADD, nor do I particularly like what they have become. HOWEVER, I have a wonderful wife, a son and a daughter, along with 5 grandchildren that share the roads each and every day with those who believe that they can have a few drinks and then drive to wherever they are going. I for one will continue to call 911 and report those who I suspect may be driving while intoxicated. I may make some mistakes, but hopefully one time I will manage to get an idiot off of our roads, (however temporarily it may be). If you think that the current limits for blood alcohol are too tough, consider this. I was at a party had enough to drink that I was told that I was slurring my words and blew under .05! By the way, this test was at the party and the person who administered the breathalizer was experienced with the process.

Buy it or not, it still goes on to a lesser extent today. Especially in the small chalk streams. A little more finesse is required than noodling though...
-
Thanks douG.........didn't want to have the birds and the bees talk...........
-
A little like noodling only you get to keep your fingers longer..........and the fine is pretty steep, at least where I come from.

Thanks for sharing Holdfast, great photos.

John & Barbara....we will be there

I ordered one last year here Boatcovers.com price is right if you don't mind straps on your cover. Pretty good job but heavy. If you want a lightweight one with dome snaps then be prepared for 800-1000.00.

Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday morning Cliff....

Congrat's to you and Kristi Steve. The new look is amazing by the way! You are sure giving Brian a run for his money.

Great report Drew...We were there in November and pretty much agree on everything. We stayed at Windsor Hills too, great place, magnificent pool and hot tub with it's own movie theatre. Sea World without a doubt was our favorite, with Hollywood Studios a close second. Also depends on the ages of the kids. Couldn't get my Grandson away from the stingray petting pool. Food in general, in my opinion was expensive and mediocre at best unless you go to familiar chains like Ruby Tuesdays.

When I bought my Princecraft last year I did a ton if research. I decided I wanted a riveted hull and then narrowed it down to Lund or Princecraft. I found the Lund dealer unwilling to negotiate under my terms and the Princecraft dealer very willing to negotiate under my terms. I am very happy with my decision.

Happy Birthday, have a great one Bill.

The pleasure was ours Steve. After all, you donated the day to benefit Rick in the first place. I offered Cliff $50 to put her in reverse and hit the gas but he wasn't biting!

Thanks for a great day guys. Couldn't wish for a better bunch to spend time on the water with. I hope that we get a chance to do it again soon. Special thanks to Steve (Fishmaster) for making sure that we found some fish on what was a very tough day, he went way beyond expectations. See you again in a few weeks Cliff.

I think that the two shows are quite different in their appeal and approach. One is looking for amazing talent in any field of entertainment and the other unfortunately is just a network selling a show, looking for ratings primarily and young, marketable singers that can be signed to contract secondly. Just my .02....... Pop Idol was the UK show that spawned American Idol and is similar in most respects.

The problem with the Fiat/Chrysler deal is that it is not really a deal at all. There is no money, no management, no real forward technology and no guarantees. The only committment that Fiat has given, and even that is shaky at best, is that is will supply current small car technology, meaning engines and other parts. In exchange Fiat gets 25%. And........Fiat itself is struggling! Unless I am VERY mistaken, North American buyers will not embrace Fiat no matter what nameplate is on the trunk. There are far, far, better cars from Europe than Fiat that we have sent packing with their tails between their legs.....Peugeot and Citroen come to mind (probably the best diesel technology in the world). Hell, Hyundai and Kia, with some of the best new small cars to come along from Asia in the past 10 years are struggling to sell enough to make them viable here. Wanna buy a Honda or Toyota for $10,000 less? Buy Hyundai or Kia. If we look deep within ourselves, we will find the answer. You can not go on with a fat and stupid mentality registering approximately 2 cars for every one drivers license and expect things to sustain themselves forever. Throwing money at a dying monster will never fix the problem. The monster needs to be allowed die and be resurrected into something that can compete.

On a tour of Florida , the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the ocean for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the beach in the Pope mobile when there was a frantic commotion just off shore. A helpless man, wearing a Montreal Canadiens jersey, was struggling frantically to free himself from the jaws of a 25-foot shark. As the Pope watched, horrified, a boat came racing up with three men wearing Toronto Maple Leafs jerseys aboard. One quickly fired a harpoon into the shark's side. The other two reached out and pulled the bleeding, semi-conscious Habs fan from the water. Then using baseball bats, the three heroes in blue beat the shark to death and hauled it into the boat. Immediately the Pope summoned them to the beach. "I would like to give you my blessing for your brave actions," he told them. "I heard that there was some bitter hatred between Leafs and Habs fans, but now I have seen with my own eyes that this is not the truth." As the Pope drove off, the harpooner asked his buddies "Who was that?" "It was the Pope," one replied. "He is in direct contact with God and has access to all of God's wisdom." "Well," the harpooner said, "he may have access to God's wisdom, but he knows crap about shark fishing... How's the bait holding up?"
