  1. Tiller!
  2. Hi Jamie, It's really a matter of being in the right place when they come in. Most stores, (Best Buy, Future Shop, Zellers, WalMart and even Shoppers Drug Mart) have had them recently. Depending on the size of the store they are receiving 10-50 a week and sell out within hours once the word gets out. I bought one at Best Buy recently. I would spend some time on the phone and you may just get lucky. You can of course buy one on line for a premium. John
  3. Hey Brian, I really think that anyone one that team that is movable (ie., doesn't have a no trade clause) will be available. Are you thinking of Pogge as a starter? Raycroft has had enough opportunities.. I could be wrong but I don't think that last place finish guarantees first overall pick....
  4. What it actually said is that he landed fish 3 times after his quota was exceeded. Having said that a $6500 fine is an overhead to him. 2300# of walleye will net him much more than the fine levied therefore there is nothing to deter him from doing it again and again.
  5. Now ya talkin' Wayne!
  6. We "more mature" guys need to stick together Lew. I agree 100%. It's the hootin' 'n hollerin' that gets to me too....
  7. Our thoughts are with you Mike. I have been there twice so I understand very well. Spend as much time together as you can..

    Rant NF

To be honest, I avoid the liquor store, the grocery store and Canadian Tire at prime canvasing hours. Don't get me wrong I contribute what I can to my charities of choice, but out and out begging I have a problem with. My kids are grown and gone and we now "contibute" to our grandkids sports funds etc., but, for many years we were involved in competitive soccer for both my daughter and my son. We raised funds for tournaments, bags, tracksuits etc by running bingo's in smoke choked halls from midnight Saturday until 4.00am Sunday. I do buy apples from cub scouts and cookies from girl guides and I buy a $10 poppy every November. Last year I was fed up of not only the store entrance brigade, but the constant telephone and door to door canvasing. I decided to keep track of what I ran into day to day. It is February 4th and I have already had 8 door to door and over a dozen on the phone. As it's still cold outside, the store entrances are not filled with them as yet, just give it a few weeks.......
  9. Snowing heavy here, schools closed etc. Freezing rain and ice pellets called for later. To those who must venture out, please drive safe everyone
  10. Mo please can you PM me your address and I will mail you a cheque. John

  13. Damn Glen, you had me real nervous there for a while.........
  14. Damn..........best offer I had in a long time.....
  15. Welcome Greg. You'll like it here. Nice pics.
  16. West Arm and Upper French for the fishing. Lower French for the sheer beauty.
  17. Good move Cliff. Kia/Hyundai have become Toyota and Honda killers in recent years.
  18. Congrat's Jamie. Nothing more exciting than a new little one on the way.
  19. I'm a little confused by this one. Certainly has the gate of a fox but have never seen one that size before. Even here in Burlington, we see plenty of Coyotes. Never the less congrat's on the non smoking. It does get better. If you need any encouragement send a PM. John...
  20. Hey Brian, nice jacket, but does it come in mens?.....
  21. Thanks for posting Lew, beauty indeed.
  22. Sounds like positive news Rick. With him feeling better, now is the most difficult time as far as the healing process as he will want to do everything he normally did. It will be a tough for another month or two. Having said that he is in great hands.
  23. Hey Rich, Ben ( our yellow lab in my avatar) had ACL/MCL reconstruction 18 months ago. Once he had healed somewhat the best thing that we did for him was Hydrotherapy. Ask your vet if there is a canine or equine pool near to you. Ben was nine at the time and his recovery has been terrific. It is something that also helps aging dogs to remain mobile in their remaining years... John...
  24. Cliff, I would be pleased to put in $100 towards the "food and refreshments". Use it as you see fit. Let me know whether to send it to you or to Mo. Cheers, John...
  25. Great stuff Pete, congratulations.
