I believe that Three Mile Lake had/has a problem common with a lot of Muskoka Lakes and that is development. There are lots of "cottagers" today that want Muskoka location with Toronto accommodation. That is, they are not satisfied with a treed and relatively natural lot. They feel that they must landscape right down to the water. Of course with that landscaping they want green grass and lots of flowers...........which means seasonal fertilizing. The run off when it rains has to be incredible............
Maybe I'm missing something here, BUT, why make the investment of a trip to the French with a reel held together with glue??????????? You can replace it for less than the cost of a tank of gas.
I heard that summer was a mere dream right now, hope things improve soon as I will be over there in a month or two. I'm pretty much a real ale man myself to wash down those Lincolnshire links............
Welcome Marc, stick around, we are a pretty good crowd here. Can't help you but lots here who can. Maybe you can introduce yourself a little and I'm sure we'll all warm up in no time...........
Hey Clive, Do you remember Quill Minnows? Tiny Spoon with clear body minnow and tiny treble. Used to catch pretty much everything in the rivers over there on that, (short of maggots, chrysalis, redworms and brandlings).
