You spread your lines out because divers take your line down and out to the side while the down riggers just your line straight down. In the great lakes where you can run two rods per person; the dipsys combined with copper or lead core will allow to run more lines. I only have two down riggers in my boat; but I can run two Dipsys on either side of my boat in addition to running the two down riggers. I could run two coppers or lead cores off a planer board mast and still have room to run a rod with copper, leader, or a diver straight off my stern. This gives me nine options on a 16' boat with two down riggers.

You may also want to try Spin Doctors with flies or herring strips. These are productive on Lake Ontario. Copper line or lead core are options too. Salmon fishing is not as simple as it was in the 80s and 90s.

Shouldn't the fuse match the wiring? E.g. 15 amp fuse for 14ga wire; 20 amp for 12ga? Wouldn't 18 gauge wire be long gone before a 30 amp fuse was tripped?

This was my solution. 3/16" Aluminum fastened with 'J' brackets and reinforced with 1" square tubing. I had previously used wood but it rotted. Has anybody been to Cuba around Christmas time? I may be visiting Cayo Coco over Christmas. Will it be warm enough for swimming, etc. at that time of year? p.s. Is there any kind of license required for fishing Cuba?

Yes, that was a great board at one time. That is where I found out about this place. Andy used to operate three or four boards; I think the bird watching one is still operating. It is no longer hosted by U of T though.

If you have rollers down the middle of the boat you can replace them with rollers that have groves in them that help guide the boat to the centre of the trailer.

I would have to agree that the body shape looks more like a dolphin or porpoise than a fish. The way its back arches would make me think it has a whale type tail rather than a vertical tail like a fish.

Don't let him tow the boat away with your plate on the trailer. I think it is possible to transfer the ownership of the plate; but when I sold my trailer I just told the buyer that I was keeping the plate and he could apply for his own. I was not about to take the risk of 407 bills or be held accountable for something he did with my plate on the trailer.

Was it raining or damp when you were having the problem? I had an issue with an older engine losing power; the shop couldn't replicate it. On one of the very few sunny weekends we had that summer I clued into the fact that is only happened on rainy days. The shop couldn't replicate because it never rained in the shop.

Last time I had mine done it was around $70 for a 55 hp Suzuki. That was quite a few years ago, so I am sure it would be more now.

I am pretty sure that Parkview north east of Markham and Steels is public. I am not a golfer so I cannot tell you if it is a good course or not.
