MMJ Connoisseurs? VS Scotch Connoisseurs?
John Bacon replied to GbayGiant's topic in General Discussion
It's not legal yet; so it makes sense to enforce the current laws until new ones are put in place. Do you have any evidence to back up your claim that the majority of Canadians do not want them to enforce the current laws? Based on Trudeau's comments on the marijuana, I would expect it to be highly regulated once in is legalized. I wouldn't expect a free for all, where anybody can can grow and sell marijuana once it becomes legal. I would expect that all growers and suppliers will need to be licenced. It makes sense that they charge any suppliers who are trying to get a head start before the new licensing laws are in place. There is no guarantee that all existing suppliers are going to receive licences once it becomes legal. -
Do you have a V bottom? If so, the transom height may be shorter on the sides. Also, is the transom flat across the top? Some transoms have a low spot in the middle for mounting the main motor. I would measure the height of the transom where you plan to mount the kicker motor. Is your main motor bolted on? If not, slide it over to the side and see where the cavitation plate sits in relation to the bottom of the hull.

No, it's at the International Centre now. So, the Toronto Sportsman Show is no longer in Toronto.

From what I understand, they have reciprocal billing agreements with other provinces and states. I am not sure about NWT. I have never driving with out of province plates, so I cannot confirm this. Personally, I wouldn't pay for the 407 at that time of the day. An 11:00 AM arrival time should skip the worst of rush hour so traffic shouldn't be too big of a problem.

And not so new to graph guys too. Most people probably don't think of this.
-
I was thinking grass carp too. Maybe that's how they spread from one water body to another
-
I think that using a single term, asian carp, to refer to several completely different species of fish is far more misleading than using a picture from a different river.
-
That may be your best option. I was offered $200 as a trade-in for the 2005 GMC Jimmy. I am sure you will get more than that from insurance; but you won't be buying a current model truck with the insurance money. My guess is that the insurance will want to write it off. But I don't think you will be getting a lot of money for a 12 year old GM truck.

It didn't feel like it when I was out this morning...

Yes, it would be helpful if the media indicated the actual species instead of referring to silver, grass, bighead, & black carp as 'asian carp'. All carp are asian carp. I have never heard of reed carp before. Perhaps that is the french to english translation of grass carp. If so, there have already been several reports of them over the last few years.
-
What are reed carp? The term asian carp usually refers to grass, silver, bighead, or black carp. There have been sightings of grass carp in the Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence over the last few years. Silver carp are the jumpers.

They can legally enforce pretty much any law on books including all fishing related laws. Police officers can enforce fishery laws just like a CO. However, they don't have the same training as COs so they usually only enforce basic laws such as fishing without a license. Snagging is a law that they could enforce. They can certainly do a lot more than enforce anti littering laws if they are interested in doing so.
-
There is nothing to stop them from joining the enforcement efforts now.

There are three along Sheppard Avenue. AV Fishing Tackle at Sheppard & Shorting, Lucky's at Sheppard & Midland, and a new one on the south side of Sheppard near Brimley.

If you tell them that you are thinking of switching, they may offer you some incentives. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only way to get a deal from either Bell or Rogers.
-
This particular show has never been very big. There used to be an OFAH show in same location and time slot. It was larger. They were taken over by the Sportsman Show; and then Andy Pallotta started a new show using the same time and location. The new show was never as big as the old show nor the Sportsman Show.

Yeah, the name is fine; it's the boats that are the problem Specifically, they have reputation for cracked halls. Many people refer to them as "Cracker" boats.

How about Josh Leivo? He's played nine games this year and he had eight points in his last five games.

Thanks for the feedback. I did the speed test on my internet, it indicated that I am getting in the 130 mbps range. Bell is offering 25. My son is a big gamer, so that would be a big hit. I will probably stay with Rogers for now. I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities to switch to Bell in the future.
-
Has anybody recently switched between Bell and Rogers for TV/Internet/ telephone? I am currently on Rogers, but Bell has offered an incentive to switch. Bell's internet is 25 mb/s vs. Rogers at 100. However, Bell claims that theirs is still better because Roger's is shared. How do the TV selections compare? Is one better than the other? Or, is the programming pretty much the same? I am currently on Rogers VIP pkg which is no longer available. Bell's initial offer was for their 'Good' pkg. I didn't get pricing for their 'Better' or 'Best' pkgs. In general, are there any perks that one offers over the other?

The weekly car has been replaced with $10,000 cash. There is still a 4 Runner for the biggest overall. http://www.greatontariosalmonderby.ca/multimedia/2017-02-07-143058-77575/2017_salmon_tstar_10x145ad_v15.pdf

Great tweet... "The Canadiens dumped Therrien on Valentine's Day to get back with their ex. Ouch"

Need a battery and charger. Recommendations Please.

This can often be resolved by connecting the dead battery in parallel to another batter and charging them at the same time. -
I used to fish the lake when I was a kid. At that time it had good populations of walleye and muskie; and also had bass. The walleye fishing really dropped off; and now there are pike in the lake; so the muskies may be hard to come by.

Wasn't it Len Thompson? They are the ones who famous for it. Dardevle (Eppinger) are more known for the red & white pattern.
