  1. Here's one...you can turn right on a red light provided the intersection is safe to do so. At a 'T' intersection, where there is no right hand turn, can you go straight through once you come to a complete stop and intersection is clear? You are not crossing traffic or lanes and no signs posted saying different. EDIT... it is a double lane intersection and you are in the right lane.
  2. I hate this time of year. I know guys are ice fishing but I still managed to get the boat out on the weekend. It's a toss up on whats more fun! Matt, I call your couple crappie and dozen perch and raise you 23 lake trout
  3. A buddy of mine in your neck of he woods has been out Crappie fishing on the ice already Matt. Not saying he is "all there", just saying....
  4. Now there are some nice big bass. Looks like you had a great year. You're not getting out near enough though. Cheers, Ron...

    Hey TJ

Oh no, I meant cupboard. ha ha ha
  6. Ron

    Hey TJ

So you guys finally came out of the cupboard eh! LMAO
  7. We got one here in Cobourg. I spotted it the first time on Tuesday.
  8. That's the problem though Brian, it's hard to find 7 virgins nowadays.
  9. Kewl. I won in September. Did my shopping thing, went to the til and when it was all added up, it came to $100.25. Funny thing is, I didn't up it up previous to that. Spent it all on trout paraphernalia.
  10. Ya ya ya.... Now get back to your room and tie up some more rods....
  11. I won the monthly 100.00 gift card from Gagnon Sports in Oshawa. I always thought these kinda sign ups were a bit of a gimmick but I am now a believer! I always thought if they were ligit, I would at least recognize the name of one of the monthly winners. I never expected it to be my name! So to say "THANKS" to Gagnon's Sporting Goods in Oshawa, I want to give them a simple plug in hopes that more people register to see if they can win the 100.00 monthly gift certificate. I simply registered my email address with them and get their monthly flyer. (It's the box under Restricted firearms in stock box). http://www.gagnonsports.com/index.php Now, what to buy with that 100 bucks..... Cheers, Ron...
  12. Nice read Bunk, I have never done a trip to Nip in July. Fishing for Brookies would definitely be a challenge that time of year. The first camp site, did you see the Moose skulls and hides? Looked like they were there from last fall. It is a great secluded camp site. No matter which way the wind blows. It's a great area for going solo in my opinion. Done it a few times now. Cheers, Ron...
  13. Well, for a day trip, We have fished the St. Marys River. 8.5 hr drive, one way. Have been known to fish St. Clair for a weekend, got blown off the lake on the Saturday, packed up and fished Stoco Lake in Tweed on the Sunday. 4 day weekend on Nipigon. Left on a Wednesday after work, fished the Thursday, Friday and Saturday. After fishing til dark, pack up and start the 14 hour drive home to be back Sunday afternoon, unload toys and load tools for work on the Monday. Heck I have even done 4 hour drives one way just to go to a 2 hour Muskie Canada Meeting! (Hamiltonn, KW, Sudbury and Ottawa) No regrets...... (I think I got a fishing problem)..... Cheers, Ron...
  14. When I was young and full of vineger, I use to commute from Cobourg to Hamilton. Did that for 6 months, discovered that only sleeping for 4 hours a day kinda took a toll on my weekends. Some days I would just sleep in my truck in the parking lot. Decided to rent an apartment. After the one year lease was over, I quit my job and found something with half the pay right in my home town. Cheaper in the long run. The reason for doing it in the first place was because of the job offer. The pay was just insane! Reality kicked in and I discovered there was more to life than work.
  15. Really cool Mike! Wish I was there... At least i got a 94.5 incher this weekend. Cheers, Ron...
  16. If and when the Muskie takes hold on Simcoe, I will put my money on that lake. Plenty of emerald shiners to get them started, then they can start to acquire a taste on the plentiful Perch. Once they get up to the 36" size, they will start to roam with the newly emerging Herring population. There are plenty of suckers and ling as well. Once you see them following the schools of whitefish, look out! For now, I will just enjoy fishing and not worry about catching a new world record Muskie. For that matter, even if I did catch a "potential", there would only be 2 people who would know, my fishing buddy and myself.
  17. Hey, the blandings turtle gots a woddie!
  18. Forget it Mike, Skip the Cabelas store and hook up with us for Muskie instead. It's only another 3 hr drive to where we will be. It'll actually be my first time out Muskie fishing this year. Can't wait..... Got an open seat for ya..... Cheers, Ron...
  19. I am in awe over this trip you so luckily had taken. It almost makes me want to get into fly in trips! You and Bill had the world by the short tails on this trip. Stellar report! (Just in case you didn't understand my thoughts on this report......GREAT READ) Cheers, Ron...
  20. X3 Highly recommend him. Grant Mills is very professional when it comes to this stuff. Chances are, the side imaging ducer doesn't even attach to the hull of your boat but rather to the motor bracket.
  21. I really like my BPS Pro Qualifier. Better built than the 100 MPH in my opinion. The best option on the Pro Q is the hip to ankle water proof zipper. A properly adjusted hood will not let water in, even at 40 mph with no windshield.
  22. Well worth the wait to read this report Mike. The idea of flying to T Bay was a good one. 1.5hrs as opposed to a 16hr drive.
  23. As Big Cliff says, get it fixed, sell it, put the money towards what you want. Grant Mills Boat Tech in Pickering will set you up. He is an authorized Minn Kota repair/ dealer. Great person to deal with. Cheers, Ron...
