Be careful out there in a 14ft tinner. You don't want to end like your board name.

I am so sorry to hear this Paul. A lot of great memories will be cherished. It was an honour to have known her. With my deepest sympathy, Ron

Last year, there were many swap miesters there. I sold a dozen used reels and at least 6 rods myself. I don't recall many used lures but a good number of rods, reels, nets, downriggers, cannon balls.

I will be helping out at 2 booths there this year. Gremlin's Custom Baits and Handlebarz. For a 1 day swap/show, it is very very busy! Admission is the best, bring a canned food or 2 or 3, afterall, it is for the unfortunate.

Right on. Good save to the day

With as many lakes as I have to fish in Southern ONT, I have trophy sized fish of each and every species in my back yard and plentiful at that. I don't have to drive more than 3 hours to fish them. It's not only NWO that has great populations of fish. Within 3 hrs of driving, I can catch: 16" Crappie 15" Perch 34" Walleye 56" Muskie 48" Pike 50" Long nose Gar 6lb Small mouth bass 5lb Large mouth bass 30lb Chinook Salmon 20lb Rainbow trout 30lb Lake Trout 15lb Brown Trout 28lb Carp The only species I can not catch big locally is Brook trout in the open water. For that, I have to drive 4 1/2 hours. I don't get charged American funds to do this either.

As long as it has a Comet or a Cat pump, you will be OK.

Here is my .02 worth. I come on this site, I click on "View new content". I ignore the threads i have no interest in. I don't post on the political threads because i don't read the political threads. it's kind of cool concept, if you don't read the posts you have no interest in, you don't have to complain about them. Easy peasy! Big Cliff, I am guilty of reading your fishing thread and not replying to it. I will attempt to make replies to the posts that interest me in the future. I understand where the frustration comes in play here. Winternet..... Aargh... it's in the air..... Cheers, Ron...

St. Marys River, Lake George - in the waters of Laird Twp., from Pumpkin Point upstream to the Laird Twp. boundary. Walleye S - 0 and C - 0 from Apr. 1 - June 15. Tell the Co you are fishing for Northern Pike, or Rainbow Trout or Bluegill or Whitefish. They are all in season in that area. The regs are written as 0 (zero) posession, not as a sanctuary.

Tomorrow is my quit smoking anniversary too. January 10th, 2016.

Recommendations on a Musky setup: Left hand baitcaster & 2 Piece rod?
Ron replied to PUMP KNOWS's topic in General Discussion
Don't know your budget but this outfit is relatively midrange..... Diawa Lexa 400HSL with power handle. A great working reel lots of power to burn the big blades like Mike's Handlebarz dbl 10s. This reel is heavier than the ABU Toro NaCl, but, it feels better in hand. You can see the rod in the background on this photo. I am using the Lexa 400 as well. Not sure what length you are hoping to achieve once the rod is collapsed. My okuma EVX extra heavy 8'6" collapses to 6'11". It's a great working setup. I use this for Muskie on ALL lakes I fish. This combo also goes with me for tossing smaller lures like Gliden Raps and small invaders for pike. Depending on size of Pike in the lakes you fish, it might be a little overkill. You can see the rod in the background in this pic too. My buddy is using the NaCl as the combo. Most important, make sure you go with high speed reels. I am using a power handle on the Lexa 400 and a double paddle on my NaCl for jerk baits. Cheers, Ron... -
I went to the local dump and got a free hot box. (Old freezer). wired it up to accept a space heater. Works great. You can always boost up the heat when your working in the shop with a sundial propane heater, just do yourself a favour and run a CO2 detector as well.

Sounds like your brake cylinders are seized.

Swiss Bear in Apsley... hands down. Peterborough I would go with Rileys Pub if you are down town. Porch and Pint if you got boat in tow East end of Lansdowne St. DING DING DING we have a winner! Cobourg area, Swiss Chalet on Strathy Rd. Best breakfast is at Whimpy's on Division St. Brighton has the best breakfast around this neck of the woods. Just off 401 and hwy 30 exit, it's called JR's Midway Cafe. -
Of course he was out walking around in the daylight.... You kicked him out of his home/your boat! LOL
-
No shortage of them in some areas! My first mirror.
-
Wouldn't make a difference with his roe bags nootch. They still won't catch fish..... LOL Is there anything else other than bucktails that catch walleye? make sure you got lots of color choices too. Any color is perfect so long as the hair is black.

Mine had the same issue as you described. It was a weak breaker. Simple by pass test to rule this out. -
Hey! Don't talk so highly about my nephew, It'll go to his head! Seriously though, he does do great work. I'm glad he could help out in such short notice. Cheers, Ron.
