Same here if I am not out drop shottin I am generally in using top water in bays along Erie and I had the same problem. An yes it does cast better then power pro but not enough to counter the problems with it. Even if I am tossing spinners I found it to do the exact thing when you jerk the spinner. Stuff is just garbage other then casting. I also found the nanofil wasn't great other then for casting. Mind you nanofil is nice for icefishing.

As someone else said backlash is because of the user for the most part. If you adjust the spool tention accordingly to.all your lures you should be fine. I mean I get the odd birds nest on bot my baitcasters and its generally because I have a brain fart an do something dumb. Also if you are using a cheap baitcast reel your not going to be casting as far as someone with a higher end one. Regardless of the line one it. I know my Citica doesn't cast like my Curado or my friends Core. I don't think the line makes a difference on distance though. Never noticed any from 50# to 20# on the Citica. Bill I agree with you about the Suffix 832 I couldn't stand it. On top of what ypu mentioned I found it frayed alot more as well and quicker.

Paul really is a great guy. He has helped me with some things and can't thank him enough.

Awesome job Bushart. An I think its a great Idea to. Kids would love to see that, I know I would have when I spent time at Toronto sick kids growing up.

Paul I wasn't saying anything negative about Sail, I have never been there and it seems they hire people with knowledge of what they are selling. Which is what makes a store good. That is why I can't stand Bass Pro. Asked a couple people where there Silver Mepps where and looked at me like a moron. Then I found them myself. There prices are also not that great. Rods are always more money then the local shops around here. I think I will always support my local shops over the big name stores but I would work there and the one coming soon is not to far from me. Who knows if Sail has a knowledgeable person or two for the species specific then that's great. Who knows maybe I could be a bass guy. All I can say is I hope they are better then Bass Pro Shop.
-
I don't rely on them either for there knowledge or lack of. I can read and figure things out on my own or will ask someone i know with more knowledge of what I am after to give me some points. Any time I am at bass pro to pick something up and I ask where it is they look at you like your talking some foreign language. Also if your lookig for a good price tag bass pro generally isn't the place to go. Last time I got gift cards for bass pro I sold them to a cousin who likes it there and used the cash at a local shop. Also when I say knowledge or lack of, I am talking about the Bass Pro sales workers maybe not all but I have never talked to anyone with fishing knowledge. As for the local shop sales people I know a few friends that know a lot of things and have been helped alot by them. I wouldn't have caught half the trout without one friends knowledge.

Hey good to hear from ya Vince. Also glad to hear you and the girls had a great trip. As for the getting skunked like Chad said happens to us all. At least you made it out on the ice.
-
I didn't say I was suprised. An I know big stores like that drop people like nothing but they tend to drop the wrong people. I can't stand bass pro. The service there is garbage and half the clowns don't know there butts from a hole in the ground. Around christmas its common and known and it is also franchises not just big box store that over hire. That is expected. But regardless I would work at the store if I need a quick easy job. Like I do now.
-
I don't know I have never been either but if I recall right they just over hire and then drop people like nothing. I believe it was Stoty that made a post about it happening to him and others chimmed in on there store not being that great.
-
Hopefully near Hamilton I know I have heard they screw some people over but I need to get a job even though the doctors said not to.
-
I would take a couple for sure. There are lots of charities but I also agree with the hatchery program. There are plenty of charities for good sheppard and thing along those lines and things like heart and stroke but not many for the fish hatcheries and we are all on here because we love fishing.
-
That things a beast and congrats on the PB. Got to love how people have no brains and all run over when you catch one fish. It a wonder why people lose there lives out on the ice.
-
I don't know about for pike but I can't wait to use my new combo for Musky. 8' heavy action St. Croix Premier with the Curado 301E. June can't come fast enough.

Damn that looks good. When it comes to eating, healthy always come to mind after flavour. Some odd things in that but it really does look awesome.
-
I envy you very much. I am not a skier but I snowboard and has always wanted to go there. I can't wait to see your video, even though it will cause me to become very jealous and want to go more then anything I can't wait to see and hear more. Have a great trip and stay safe. Hope no one takes any bad wipeouts.

I like mine with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, black olives and onions. An nothing like some wings done crispy and hot sauce on them.
