Thanks for all your input.(cheers) The convector and cold water are on the top of my list to check out. I also came across the Rapala Hydros 6 ball bearings and stainless steel main bearings. So my question is are the # of bearings in a trolling reel as important as in a spinning reel ?(I wont even consider buying a spinning reel unless it has at least 8 bearings). I don't see this as a hate crime but more of an assault . Sending a letter suggesting that a person should be euthanized is without a doubt assault!? Assault can and does take on many different faces. If a person takes the time to write a letter suggesting that a person be euthanized than it only stands to reason that it (the letter and statement) should be considered a form of verbal assault. Holly crap!!! Thinking the same. Im a Shimano fan. All rods and reels except for 1 Browning reel and a couple Mitchells.

I use a main line suited to the weight of the jig head tied to a small (quality) barrel swivel and then a lead tied to the barrel and jig.(no snaps) The main line can range from 6 -20 pound depending on the jig/depth/current and drift? And the lead will vary depending on the target fish? I have several leads tied up in advance usually about 6-8 ft long this lets me change up quick and only tie one knot. As for using the fish finder to locate your jig? 90-150ft? I locate fish first than hit bottom and work my way up.(touchy feely kind of thing) Don.

I have a couple heavy bait casters that I don't use so I was thinking about putting a trolling reel on them.? (1 reel that I can switch if need be) The rods are in very good shape and rated for 20 pound test so I could probably push them a little bit more. I don't want to spend more than 100$ because I really don't troll all that much for Musky. More for pike. Any ideas. Thanks. Don.

What black out? We had a great time(Rosemount). Made a swing set with the kids and enjoyed fires at night it was like camping with the family didn't even skip a beet as a matter of fact we had a 4 month old little girl and she loves getting away from all the luxuries that we take for granted. Don.
