  2. The company had a booth at the Odyessy. Nice product, also carry a lot of bass lures. ie: Bass Magnet Lure Co. John
  3. I don't know what year your boat is, but Legend did have quality control (human carelessness) with this particular model/year, and they were/are aware. The hull warranty applies to the Original Owner Only In order to do it professionally, you will have to strip the interior to bare hull, then it can be welded and repaired properly. If you do not strip the boat yourself, you are looking at about $2,000. in labour to re & re. This is to prevent the interior from getting heated and catching on fire. The previous owner probably faced this dilema, thus the DYI repair. Sand down the outside of the hull to expose the crack. Then, drill a small hole on either end of the crack. Use something like, Aluma-weld it is a putty like substance. Work this into the crack with your fingers, and let it set up for 12-24 hours. Once set up, sand smooth, and use spray paint and you should be as good as.....well almost new. Good luck John
  4. Brian, My condolences on the passing of your grampa. Loosing a mentor is always difficult, my thoughts are with you during this time. Congrats on your 25th. John
  5. Save them, freeze them and use them for pike bait when pike season re-opens.
  6. Sweet looking ribs there Silveradosheriff. Kinda early in the AM, ribs for breakfast, that would be a first. What kind of smoker did you use? Your time of cooking, 4.5 hours, did you by chance foil the ribs at any time?
  7. Sweet looking ribs. What type of smoker did you use? I assembled and cured a new Char Griller Smokin' Pro yesterday, and today I plan on doing a spatchcocked chicken and a rack of beef back ribs. Must be the warm weather, yesterday at Cdn Tire, there was a steady stream of people with new gass grills. John
  8. I've been wearing Blue Water Optics glasses for a number of year. Made in Canada, lifetime warranty. http://www.bluewateroptics.com/index.cfm
  9. I'm overwhelmed by the gesture
  10. Are you encouraging her to use 'live bait' for muskies?
  11. If you do your fishing in Simcoe County, try Innisfil Self Storage on County Rd.4 (Hwy 11--Yonge St), just south of the Innisfil Beach Road. You have good access to Simcoe, Cook Bay, then a little north to Kempenfelt Bay, and hwy access to the rest of the lakes you have interest in. The only trouble is getting 24hours/7 days access. My buddy Tiny stored his boat at the same place on Weston Rd and Rutherford that you did. I think the new owners are just waiting for the developers. Good Luck John
  12. Brian You can count me in again this year. This is a desease that some how effects everyone of us, family, friends. I do agree with your comments above., but the OFC will always step forward. John

  16. I thought you would want to try it out right away. Deer Creek was running low and clear when I drove over the bridge, and I thought as I was driving away, you would head down right away. Good Luck, John

  19. If it is a Gaggle of Geese, A pride of Lions, a heard of cattle, a flock of ducks, What then is the name for a lot of wild turkeys together in the corn field
  20. I own a Legend 151 Viper with a 40 hp Merc. I purchased this second hand through the classified on this web page. I am very happy with this boat, it meets the needs of myself and my wife. I have only had one problem and that was self created. While thinking about purchasing new, I spent two seasons, and visited many boat shows, examining all the aluminum boats available. I always returned to Legend boats, because of their price point. I really didn't want to be saddled with payments that would have lasted for 20 years, so I stayed away from Lund, Princecraft, and those. If Legend boats were so cheaply made, or a bunch of junk, you would see many used boats on the used boat market. You don't and won't. Go ahead, buy the Legend and get out and enjoy fishing. John
  21. It was a good show, Congrats are in order to Hamilton & K-W Chapters for organizing and smooth running of the show. I left buying only two leashes and a stretchy thingy to attach my knipex cutters to. (This is to keep them in the boat when one's hands get wet and slimy) Hard to resist the deals at JBs, but my bud Tiny couldn't, he left with a 400$ hole in his pocket. The lectures by Dr. Cassleman were excellent and insightful. It was unfortunate, I missed Gord Pyzer's presentation, oh well, that's what happens when you rely on other people for transportation, and these people have additional commitments later in the day. Good seeing many OFC'rs John
