Before their game at the Time Warner Arena, they presented the Bennetts with keys to a new house in nearby Matthews, S.C. "The bond between Zach and our players is like nothing I have ever seen," said Checkers COO Tera Black on the Checkers website. "To be able to help reunite him with his friends and teammates is something we as an organization are truly proud of." The team held fundraisers, auctions and an online Facebook campaign to raise money to purchase the three-bedroom, ranch-style home in Matthews for the Bennetts. After the home was purchased, several partners of the Checkers donated labor and materials to make the house handicap-accessible. A local builder, Timberstone Homes, volunteered time and led the reconstruction efforts, completely refitting the home to fit the family's needs. "The Charlotte organization put the wheels in motion, and to see it come together is just fantastic," Checkers player Brad Herauf said in a video of the joyous moment when the team welcomed the Bennetts to their new home. And the Bennetts caught a much-deserved lucky break when they finally sold their old home within days of the Checkers' purchasing them a new one. The three out west are good market testers. Barrie does make very good sense with all the new development at Park Place I figured the announcement was coming soon. It's most likely residue from unburned oil that has drained out the exhaust through the hub in the prop. If it was a lower unit problem then it would be gear oil which has a unique smell and texture. I have the 1996 version of that motor and it drains the residue every year, even if you don't fog it.

What was said above and one more item, and this one is personal preference. I had a 20 Evinrude back in the day that was late 70's and one thing that was a concern for me was the prop was a shearpin design. Being a kid the thrust going from reverse to forward would weaken and finally break shearpins. It was never a convenient time, we had a cottage on Stoney and it was usually coming home late at night from the movies that played in the pavillion on Juniper Island. I would always carry a spare but it meant changing them in the middle of the night. If the prop has a thru hub exhaust then it's not shearpin. But, if there is an exhaust port coming out the anti-ventalation plate then it has a shearpin. Make sure the boat has spare pins and cotter keys. As an aside, if it does get good marks from a qualified marine mechanic the motor is a tank. I just purchased a small pontoon boat in the fall that has a 1994 Evinrude 30hp, same engine and they are realiable.

Spring has officially begun. My 11 year old son and I tapped and put out 40 buckets today and the sap is flowing. Tomorrow and Tuesday will be perfect days for the sap to flow and the best syrup always comes from the first run. Should have a boil on by the weekend.

Exactly what Charles said. The Convention Centre sucks for large shows, especially when they have it in the two areas. I think last year we looked at all the displays in one area then we walked, took a street car, went down 4 escalators, grabbed a cab and finally took a rickshaw and made it to the second area.

They know exactly what time of year it is. I have 2 flocks that come to my bird feeders every day now. They show up every year once the snow crusts in February and usually stick around till I clean up from making maple syrup. This year there are around 35 hens and young ones in one flock and 8 toms and jakes in another. And 2 real nice toms.....

I have 2 suggestions but I have not stayed at either of these places in quite sometime. Both have changed ownership since I stayed there but both should have what you want: The Waltonian Inn - On Nippissing, the accomodation was great, going out to the huts in Bombardier half-tracks was cool and the huts are huge, clean and we caught fish. The Palace is in Elmvale and is still going strong. The Phelpston reopened just before Christmas and is called Kelly's New Phelpston. It went through a makeover just before Christmas and the Kellys are doing a great job running the place.

The yellow one is pretty. I went on a run with friends from my place in Phelpston to Coldwater on Sunday for lunch with friends and there were four of the new 1200 Ski Doos with us. They looked awesome but the only complaint came come from the ladies. The new ski doos are really wide compared to the previous generation which my wife and I run (2006). The girls can't stand up like they used to when riding bumpy trails. Bit once again they were real nice and real quiet.

Also helps people walking so they don't fall in old holes or worse large squares that have been cut in the ice. I have gone through an old hut placement, while putting my own hut out about 10 years ago on Boshkung Lake. Many people mark the old hut areas with Christmas trees or other foliage. This law makes that courtesy illegal. In some cases it's a matter more than courtesy, it's for the safety of others.
