  1. If you're just interested in supplementing your propane forced air heat with wood. You could look at adding and outdoor wood fired boiler with a heat exchanger installed in your existing furnaces plenum. It also has the advantage of being able to heat your hot water as well, and is cleaner than bringing in and burning wood in your home. http://hawkenenergy.com/how_it_works/

  3. Agreed. What you say here is basically a summation of this NP article. http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/kelly-mcparland-the-case-for-re-electing-stephen-harper
  4. Here's the forecasts of cost of the additional spending promises (pdf file attachment) of the 3 main parties as compiled by the Canadian Tax Payers Federation. The Liberals are obviously promising the moon, over 10 billion in new spending in just the 1st fiscal year 2016/17. The NDP, just under 6 billion during the same period. The Conservative's, 256 million. Ask yourselves. Where is this money coming from? SpendingTracker20151015.pdf

  6. Well our Northern MP started out as a back bencher but is in cabinet now. Just because a candidate is a back bencher doesn't mean they're doomed to be one forever.
  7. I always base my decision on who to vote for on this one truth. All governments (civic, provincial and federal) have the power to tax you, and if you refuse they can confiscate property or jail you or both. So basically, when you vote for someone, you're giving them access to your money, property and wealth. I ask myself, "Who is going to spend the least amount of my money and treat the money they do take in taxes with respect and not waste it?"

They stick around here usually until around late December the disappear south for January and February and start showing up again in mid March. The numbers out this way are high. I rarely go a day with out seeing at least one. Here's an immature that was strutting around on my front lawn this summer.
  11. Just a heads up that to network the Xi 5 and a Lowrance HDS you will also need to buy the Motorguide Gateway (costs in the high $200 range) plus have or buy a basic NEMA 2000 network system. Haven't networked mine yet but will be purchasing the Gateway for next year. Spent the whole summer fishing with my Xi 5 and love it. As Art said, it's way better than my old Motorguide wireless.
  12. I use bread for bait but I also throw a golf ball in the trap sometimes as well. Over the years, the number I catch always seem to be more with the bread and ball vs bread alone.
  13. The key things to keeping minnows alive for a long period are; Cold water and lots of water. (I keep mine in a 5 gallon container in a fridge.) Provide aeration. ( I use a aquarium pump and airstone) Avoid thermal shock when transferring them from container to container or changing the water. ( I always try to make sure water I'm moving them to or changing is at the same temp that they are currently in)

Snapped a few eagles pics while out fishing yesterday.
  15. All the best. Hope everything works out okay.
  16. http://boatinfo.no/lib/evinrude/manuals/1971-1989johnsonevinrude.html#/36 General setting page 36 of the manual. Carb details for Type 1 carb on page 109. Hope this helps.
  17. I have one just like this on my Crestliner Fishhawk. Works great. Telescoping ladder folds and unfold easily. We use it all the time when we go for a swim.
  18. Thanks. This one was chasing a squirrel around in the tree try to catch his lunch. Watched the proceeding for about 5 minutes. Didn't see him get the squirrel, but I'm sure he did after I left him alone.
  19. Always a ton of them around here. Caught this one having a break the other day.
  20. Thanks
