  2. 14 Dec 2009...Cloudy and visibility poor...+1*C Took a look out over the north end of Tait's Bay this afternoon...Looks like ice but mostly slush...In the first picture that is Hurricane Point way out near the center...In the second picture Hurricane Point is over on the left: With the cold temps expected in the next few days it should firm up in time for New Years Day 2010... I will take more pics later in the week and next week... 15 Dec 2009...Sunny and clear -2*C Just got back from grocery shopping in town...I noticed the area out beyond Hurricane Point (south shore of Tait's Bay is open water...considering that would be the natural flow of the current in the lake I wasn't suprised...
  3. Sad news for sure Maureen but there are times in life when you have to take care of number one or you will not be any good to take care of others...You have knocked yourself out for this cause and we are all proud of you and I'm sure the others will understand...
  4. Dems is HAWGS !!!
  5. The new regulations for 2010-2011 for zone 17 allow icefishing for panfish and coarse fish only starting January 1st 2010...bass, pickerel, and mucksies will be closed until their regular opening dates...
  6. I think your doctor can give you sumpin' for that too Steve...
  7. Absolutly terrific Cliff...and my favorite Christmas song to boot...Thanks for sharing ! Maribeth just asked if Sydney helped make it !!!
  8. Too bad it wasn't wearing an orange blaze horse blanket...a collar could be missed...
  9. Think hard Cliff...no way to put it on the railway and extend the tracks ??? Actually you could add a couple of bunks and rent it out as a sleeper hut...
  10. Yep...You guessed it...this pic was taken on the 19th July 2003...I wonder if he still has that rusty old old tackle box we all donated the ugliest lure we had to fill it with ??? Looks like even the pic is getting old and decrepit like me...LOL
  11. And he does nice work... Big Cliff's Boathouse Completed
  12. Remember When ??? The only thin person in this photo is Jack (Nanook) and he is the only one eating...
  13. I thought the doctor gave you sumpin' for that...
  14. Nice one Cliff...Thanks for sharing...
  15. You should be OK Lew... We only got about 8 to 10 inches the past few days... Minden and Bancroft sure got hit hard...The pics on CHEX TV last night were awesome... One OPP officer was up to his shoulders trying to dig out the cruiser...
  16. Geeeze Bill...Just about in your back yard...
  17. I think as long as people avoid going near the bridges where there is current they may do well over by the east side...don't know for sure as I've only fished open water at Gannons...
  18. No ice at the top end of Pigeon...just lots of whitecaps with the winds we are having... The lagoon where we dock our boats was half open water and the other half looks like the wind has pushed a lot of slush in...
  19. Hallelujah !!! Best news I've heard in a while... Maribeth will be pleased to hear this also... I will try to remember to say thanks when I put these aching and weary bones to bed... I thought I retired from "work" but this snow removal stuff is just like work...
  20. At this stage of my life I'm going to say carp mainly because, as much as I enjoy fishing for most species, I can't stand and cast for more than 10 minutes or my back starts to get "ouchy" (don't get old...it hurts too much )...The same out in the "Tin"...4 hours of sitting in her and bouncing around on the waves does me in... With carp fishing, once you get the area chummed and your equipment set-up there is not much more to do but sit back and relax with your friends and wait for old bugle-mouth to pull on your string... Granted it can get quite strenuous hauling in those twenty plus big boys but it is a nice kind of hurt...
  21. Did you finally get it dried out ???
  22. Lew's post was fishing related...he needs the saw to cut those hughe mucksies into steaks... OOPS !!! Someone beat me to this but it bears repeating...
  23. The Rotters !!!
  24. I spoke with my cable supplier about the cost of getting WFN...it would cost me $25 per month ($10 for the channel and $15 for a digital box) $25 per month...No thanks...I'll just stick to Real Fishing, Fish'n Canada, Fish TV, Fishful Thinking, Gronzy and Dave Mercer... Oh ya...Italo and Henry
  25. Consider mine done Brian...I hope all goes well...
