Here is the result of people not littering in Eldee, Ontario. Why do people on the street not care? Because those in power don't care either....this is downwind of the Eldee municipal landfill, no more than 50 meters away from a large creek that flows into the Ottawa River 200M downstream. All it takes is a tall fence on the windy side to stop this, I found this looking for trails, you can't tell me the MOE doesn't know about this. This mess covers an area of approx. 500 square meters, if not more. I've seen some disgusting things in my days and have become a little apathetic (unfortunately) but my GF was completly floored by this mess. Now she hates landfills and tries to recycle everything...hahah even things that aren't recyclable. Bless the girl for trying.

Everybody here has done something stupider than this in their lifetime. Did you get arrested? Do you think that you deserve to be charged for your silly actions? Would you not defend your actions? This guy gets something similar to a DUI and will have a heck of a time getting a job now.... that's not right. The cops should have led him home and if he turns into a drunken goon... then arrest him.

That is NOT what I had expected. The photos show no signs of a snake at all... a two month old garten snake would be tiny... I can't see how it would swell up that large. I'm not a biologist so I can't argue... but I still say it's a new species hahaha.

wow! It certainly has good camouflage as it looks just like a rock. If it is an unknown species I can see how it would be overlooked......If it is an unknown species that would be amazing!!!!

Now that I think about it, if they essentially close these lakes off to the public that means the MNR is just there to monitor the fly-in clients. The lodge should be responsible for monitoring their own clients and the MNR should inspect the lodge directly, and fine the lodge for irresponsible clients if their gonna have the lake all to themselves. All in all, fencing off these lakes is a dumb idea. This is clearly a gray area that needs to be addressed. Is this the actual Minister that is making these decisions?

Remember this? <BR><BR> I ran into a contractor at the north launch ( by the marina) and he said they were fixing that launch and the government dock launch this week. I'm sure a lot of trailer owners will be happy!

Two years ago I left my new rod/reel combo and my four plano box tackle bag near the dock of a small lodge. I drove out the next day and it was gone... there were only two groups of people around so I hawk eyed everything in sight...still nothing to be found. That was at Matthews Little Portage camp on Lake Memesaugamesing. I even had my name/number on the bag! I was angry, but that's what I get for being an idiot and leaving my stuff and driving away.
