  1. That's a pretty big net for not expecting a fish that size Great video
  2. If the natives agreed to it, then sure, I'm all for it too. We cull geese all over the place for the reason of overpopulation...why not cormorants if they are indeed a problem.
  3. Nice choice. I listened to that song earlier today at work. How 'bout this one off the Green Album? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZNweqyqkjg
  4. Hopefully that will freeze the moat around your shack! Heavy snow forecasted for this thursday
  5. Dace, shiners and chubs are my favorite spec baits in winter! Any jigging spoon like a swedish pimple, jigging rap will work on aggressive fish. As would small white tubes. Minnows will outfish them all though... in my experience.
  6. nice snack LL! Not crappy at all.
  7. I agree Skip. If you sell gold/silver, chances are that money will go into a less secure or less profitable investment. If you just need the cash then you'll get a decent price right now.. but might kick yourself in the next couple years. Now, if your asking because you have unpublished drilling results from an exploration company.. please do share
  8. Try Kitco online. I used to buy Palladium funds from them.
  9. Helping your friend and also finding success yourself at a new spot is a great feeling! I'll be seeking some new spots on my next outing as well. Not likely I'll get 19 walleye though haha
  10. Ha, exactly. It's completely dead, even up until 4:30 sometimes. Last night we only got one at 5. They are all real nice size and healthy. Have you been on Nos yet or are you getting reports from buddy's?
  11. Your making Frankie restless That's a good haul for nipissing. I also prefer deeper water but won't go there till february this year. I used a nipissing rig on nosbonsing yesterday, herein called a nosbonsing rig.
  12. Considering the lack of numbers, that's a real nice walleye, Nick. Hopefully nipissing puts out for you again this year. Is Wayne doing this as a regular feature now?
  13. Good one Brian. 4 hours freezing is better than 4 hours working!
  14. Very good Matt! Another successful outing. Those specs are trophies. I was on Nos again today and we only managed one 2 pounder. Cheers
  15. I've got a couple. They work ok for perch and walleye.
  16. Callander Bay is the far east bay on Nipissing. Take highway 94 into Callander, turn on Main Street and the Government dock is off of Landsdowne. I'm 90% sure that is where Blair is putting his shack. He'll confirm that later on. If there isn't much snow, your car will make it. If not I'll give you a ride with my truck
  17. havent' been to smitty's, but sleds are all over the lake and shacks are starting to dot the shores. Two trucks were parked approx 200 meters out from sunset point. There was about 11 -12 inches near shore. You should be fine by Feb.
  18. Hope to see you fishing Nipissing Jan 28th. Blair is a great host and the walleye said they'd cooperate this year.
  19. A great catch Jacques! Some of those fish have shoulders.
  20. Crazy. That'll be a big job. Hopefuly the fuel tanks stayed intact.
  21. Thanks guys. I LOVE WALLEYE! haha. Good luck Sunday, Mike. That fish was near 5lbs wasn't it Blair?
  22. ... and some guys catch them on the ice too, don't they? Your right Solo, you guys have a top-quality fishing opportunity with the steelhead. I only had one month of experience with them on the Notty before I moved away. I loved it even though I was hardly successful.
  23. That's one tall pike! Son of a gun man.
  24. a month ago I was suprised you guys were still fishing the rivers... at this point its unbelievable. Have you ever seen it this late before?
  25. That's a good outing Blair. Sounds like your in the right spot. Quite the horrible lesions on that fish.. maybe that's one you kissed last year
